Daia, Champion of Mortals

Personality
General Traits
Open and Cheerful: Daia is one of the most overtly cheerful and friendly of the Immortals, something that makes her stand out among her largely serious fellows. She’s an easy person to get along with, and even those that otherwise don’t care much for Immortals tend to find it hard to personally dislike Daia.
Rarely Alone: Fitting for the Immortal of Companionship, Daia is rarely ever alone, usually being seen in the company of her Blessed, her Lions, another Immortal, another of her friends, or even someone she just met on the street that she’s becoming friends with.
Humble Immortal: Daia is surprisingly humble for an Immortal, with it being common for Mortals to spend a great deal of time around her and never realize she’s anything more than a Mortal woman. Even actively using her powers doesn’t always give her away, as her Domains and powers aren’t particularly showy or flashy most of the time.
Wary Revived: Though she tries not to show it, Daia is a murder victim, and that did have an affect on her personality. While she’s no less cheerful and friendly than she was before her death, she is more guarded about how much trust she gives to people she doesn’t know that well.
Strengths
Capable Fighter: Even other Immortals sometimes forget that Daia was initially created as a combatant in the war against the Dragons. Consequently, while she isn’t one of the Immortals greatest fighters, she’s far more capable a fighter than she initially appears.
Dancer’s Form: Aside from being quite possibly the best dancer to ever live, Daia’s love for dance shows in her every move and action. There’s a sense of rhythm to her actions, one she can change at whim by simply changing the beat she dances to. Because her every move is a form of dance, her powers are often always, if quietly active.
Friend Maker: Daia makes friends extremely easily, a combination of her natural outgoing nature and her Domains, and thus can gather up genuine allies and friends with remarkable ease, even from otherwise opposing groups. This has the side effect of making her an excellent diplomat.
Weaknesses
Reluctance: Despite her proficiency, Daia truly hates combat and will take any other option that’s available if it will lead to an acceptable outcome. This means that while she isn’t hesitant in a fight, she’s not always reliable for joining one in time to be of much use unless the situation is truly dire.
Out Of Touch: Daia was dead for almost a millennium, and the result is that she’s not always aware of what’s currently happening in the world. Aside from her committing the social faux pas using dances or clothing styles that are out of date, it can mean she doesn’t understand the current tensions between her kindred, or the relationships between Mortal nations, or other facets of modern Idalos.
PTSD: Daia still suffers from the after effects of her own murder. In particular, death happening around her can send her into a depressive shock that renders her almost insensate due to her re-experiencing the trauma of her own death.
Personality and Verbal Tics
Never Still: Daia fidgets. A lot. Owing to a combination of her own natural energetic nature, her love of dance, and her tendency towards sub-conscious movement, Daia is constantly moving in some way, either walking about or fiddling with things or moving to some music only she can hear.
Talkative: Daia has rarely met a silence she couldn’t fill. The Immortal of Companionship loves to talk to the people around her, whether about matters of great importance or the most banal things that are only of interest in the moment. She does have a sense of when it’s appropriate to keep quiet and will do so when it’s needed.
Tailor: Daia is a master tailor and has a distinct dislike of seeing people wearing worn out or damaged clothes. If they’re doing it for a play or because they honestly find it comfortable, she will tolerate it, otherwise, she’ll start fixing people’s clothes fairly immediately.
Generous: Daia is a truly generous soul and will happily go about helping the needy, without thought to how doing so might benefit her. Were she not an Immortal, she would quite likely quickly bankrupt herself in her efforts to help the needy.
History (before death)
Daia was the epitome of a true friend, whether it was to her creators, her brothers and sisters, the animals, or the land. She saw the balance in the world and was one, if not the only one, who realized the imbalance in the world before the seven original beings shattered. Daia was among though in agony over the loss of their mothers and fathers. She felt the most of it because she felt as though she could have stopped it. During her time of morning, Daia came across a group of humans who were oddly similar to her, however, they were much weaker and didn't appear to have any abilities. Her curiosity pulled her from the sorrows that engulfed her and before long, Daia was completely invested into the on-goings of the creatures she found. She decided they would be called 'Humans' since she'd never seen a kind of creature like this in all her time on Idalos.
With excitement, she told her brothers and sisters about the humans hoping that the existence of such a creature would pull them from their woes as it did with her. The reaction she received was far from what she was expecting. Panic arose among the Immortals as each assumed the worst about this new race of beings. Daia spoke up, but her voice was hushed against the cries of argument her siblings ensued. So, she left them.
Daia decided her time was better spent with the humans than with her siblings. At this point, she was well known within the community she governed, preforming blessings, teaching the people the ways of animal husbandry, pet training, and how to gain familiars. She taught them language, though some took onto it faster than others. Over time, she noticed that the humans changed. They grew old quickly and they died, much in the same way an animal would.
But they weren't animals...
As time past, much of the community changed. It began expanding while walls were erected to keep unwanted hostiles from harming their citizens. Government was formed and an economy was established. The seasons changed, however, and with that comes famine. Crime became an issue and before long, the city was the end of her. Daia died trying to help humans. Her death was the clue to the humans' power over the Immortals and the fuel for the fires of war.
Dia was always on the side of the mortals. She helped humans evolve, grow, and expand in knowledge. This Immortal never wanted to compare them to animals as they appeared so much more than simple beasts. Even on her death bed, she still had hope for the humans existence.
Appearance
Daia appears as a middle-aged woman with ebony skin and short, black, curly hair. She would often go to Edasha for fashion requests as most of the fabrics her sister wore, she enjoyed. Unlike her sister, Daia dressed moderately well though, most of her outfits usually involved beaded jewelry of some kind. This Immortal always appeared with a lion by her side, each one different in color and size. Most of the time, even the lion's mane would be decorated with the same kind of gems and jewels. When Daia died, the Lions that were adopted as familiars disappeared. No one knows where they are or if they still exist. Her appearance has not changed upon returning to life.
Memories of the Past
Daia was exceptionally close to Luesco, as her creator treated her like a favored daughter. In her frequent talks with human companions, she cited his guidance and companionship as the reason for her own outgoing, welcoming nature. She mourned his death greatly, and her closeness to her creator may have influenced her decision to so readily accept humanity, as it may have helped fill the void left by The Great Shattering. At her resurrection, it was revealed that Daia loved Faldrun, but it was not returned.
