Karem

Personality
General Traits
Wolfy Behavior: Karem is one of the less mortal-seeming of the Immortals, often coming off as either cold and aloof or excessively excitable and goofy. This is largely due to her mannerisms being more canid than mortal, meaning she often has rather reserved facial expressions and odd body language compared to many of her kind. She also prefers not to give people direct answers, instead preferring to guide them in more oblique ways until they arrive at the answers themselves.
Pack Mind: Karem is tied into the mind of her pack, which includes every wolf she gives to her Blessed. Though she doesn’t usually listen into her Blessed’s wolves out of courtesy, this does mean she has a lot of voices in her head from the sheer size of her pack, which can make her appear rather distracted when a lot of those voices are talking at once.
Family Minded: Either oddly or fittingly for the only Immortal with no real chance to know her creator, depending on who you ask, Karem is noted to be much more involved with her children and their fathers, often taking an active hand in raising her kids personally and keeping up with their lives after they’re grown.
Old Grudges: While it rarely evolves into outright hatred, Karem can hold a grudge for centuries if she feels sufficiently slighted. This makes her relationship with many of her own kind rather troubled due to many of them having initially blamed her for the Originals deaths.
Strengths
Pack Hunter: Wolves are pack animals and Karem always has her own pack at her beck and call. Given that her own pack is significantly larger than the packs of her Blessed, this gives her a truly massive number of wolves to call on for any number of uses.
Master Archer: Karem is an incredible archer, perhaps the best among the Immortals despite the lack of a direct Domain. This means that she doesn’t have to get close to her opponents in the event of a fight.
Peerless Hunter: As the Immort of The Hunt, it shouldn’t be a surprise that there are very few things in existence that can evade Karem for long should she decide that they’re her current prey. She’s used this for both aggressive and protective means, such as finding those who are lost.
Weaknesses
Weaker Alone: Like any pack hunter, Karem relies heavily on her allies. This means that she’s significantly weaker if she’s caught on her own with no way to call her allies or summon her wolves.
Bad Leader: Karem is outright bad at leading compared to many of her kin. While she’s a capable teacher, and most Mortals would find her a decent leader owing to her still being an Immortal, Karem struggles with getting people to work together if relatively simplistic pack logic doesn’t convince them.
Bad Etiquette: Karem is downright terrible, even by Mortal standards, at the kind of etiquette required for many fancier social events, a combination of generally bad table manners, a tendency towards bluntness, and bringing up old wounds. It’s generally believed that this is deliberate, but still makes for a notable weak point.
Personality and Verbal Tics
No Contractions or Slang: Karem’s grasp of Mortal languages often seems stilted, as while she’s more than capable of holding a fluent conversation, they don’t seem to come naturally to her, as she never uses contractions or slang, making her come off as an oddly formal speaker to those that don’t know her.
None Too Serious: Karem things people, even her own worshippers sometimes, take her far too seriously, given she’s one of the more playful and excitable Immortals by nature. This is not helped by her being as comfortable as a wolf as a humanoid, and often more overtly silly when she’s a wolf.
Subservient: Uniquely among the Immortals, Karem has placed herself in a distinctly subservient role to another Immortal, namely Raskalarn. Though the two are friends and Raskalarn does greatly respect the Great Wolf, Karem does noticeably follow Raskalarn’s orders and is explicitly, by her own choosing, an advisor to Raskalarn rather than an equal in The Eternal Empire’s government.
Not Part of the Rivalry: Ethelynda is Karem’s sister, and the two are still close. But Karem is also close friends with Raskalarn, with the latter also being her boss. Consequently, Karem never gets herself involved in rivalry between the two, to the point of actively leaving the area if the two start to fight.
History
A creation of the Immortal Luesco, Karem was last Immortal created before the Great Shattering, a fact which has caused some to blame her for their death. This lead to her being a quiet, watchful Immortal who spent her time observing her family, learning what she could from them. The primary lesson the hunter took to heart though was that the Immortals would never willingly come together as a whole, that the infighting and distrust bred by their very creators would keep them from ever realizing the full potential they had if they were to unite. Despite this, at first Karem wasn't overly worried and enjoyed the quiet times she spent with her sister Ethelynda, one of the few who did not blame her for the death of the Original Beings, learning everything she could about the creatures of the world and finding the wolves that now make up her pack.
In time, she learned of humanity in much the same way as her siblings and at first didn't think much of them. However, when she saw the destruction railed upon Idalos by the Immortals and the war they wrought upon themselves and the Mortals that inhabited the world, Karem could no longer stand idly by. At first she thought to ally with her sibling Ethelynda, but after Ethelynda's disillusionment with the world after the downfall of the original Ithecal, Karem determined to stand alone against her siblings and do what she could to mitigate the damage they did.
However, shortly afterward she came across someone she quickly came to believe could ultimately end the war and unite not only the Immortals but the Mortals as well. Though she had initially believed Raskalarn to be a loud mouthed, violent braggart, her opinion of the Immortal of Conquest changed after witnessing her treatment of the abandoned Ithecal. Shortly after Raskalarn freed them, Karem approached the Eternal Empress and offered to serve Raskalarn if Raskalarn promised not to destroy where it wasn't needed. The Immortal of Conquest readily agreed, as it was already a policy of hers, and the Immortal of The Hunt became a general in the armies of the Eternal Empire, ready to fight against her siblings as necessary, her cold and strict personality giving her the calm determination needed to fight this war with a minimum of causalities while still being able to kill any target she sets her sights on.
Appearance
Karem is a woman of average height and athletic build with long, braided brown hair and slate gray eyes. She wears furs sewn together from the pelts of the animals she has hunted and carries a simple wooden crossbow she made when she was still under Luesco's tutelage, along with a hatchet and a quiver loaded with crossbow bolts. She's usually accompanied by her pack, a group of wolves that have been with Karem since she took them in as pups, as their close proximity to Karem seems to have granted them immortality.
Memories of the Past
Karem didn't know Luesco for more than a second before he and six of the other Original Beings shattered. She often wonders what he would have said to her, what he would have taught her had he been alive.
Presently
Karem is currently serving as a scout and information gatherer for the Eternal Empire, looking for openings to exploit so that Raskalarn can expand her empire.
