Introduction

This section deals with your Wealth Skill ~ the skill which your Wealth Thread is based around. It explains what it can be, and how you must use it.

The Basics

In order to gain Wealth Points your pc must write a Wealth Thread. This is a once a season snapshot of how your character brings in money. Although we're working within wealth tiers and so on, as far as your PC is concerned, there are coins etc - they buy things, sell things and get paid (or steal, or get given) money.

Your Wealth Skill is the focus skill for how your PC does that. You must identify one skill only and denote that as your Wealth Skill for the season. It can be a different Skill next season if you want, but each Wealth Thread must have a named and identified Wealth Skill.

Identifying Your Wealth Skill

Fundamentally, this is the skill which most fits what your PC is doing in their Wealth Thread. It is the main, focused skill for the thread.

You choose your Wealth Skill (although see section on Wilderness PCs below). Once you have chosen it you must make sure that it is clearly identified on the request where you claim the WP for your Wealth Thread. You don't need to get it approved or agreed, but it is important that you remember that playing to your skill level is part of our ToU.

Wealth Skill & Wilderness PCs

For those whose Starting Package is the Seafarer's Pack or the Wilderness Pack or for those choosing to live this kind of lifestyle post-creation, your Wealth Tier is determined by your level of Wealth Skill.

It is likely that a Wilderness PC will have a Wealth Skill of Hunting or Field Craft. For a Seafaring PC it might be Seafaring or Navigation. But then, the PC might be a member of a traveling dance troupe and their Wealth Skill be Dancing. As long as it makes sense to the PC story, it's fine. But remember - that PC has to survive

Wealth Skill Loyalty Bonus

Every year (6 seasons) which you maintain the same Wealth Skill in each Wealth Thread for earns you a "loyalty bonus". These are as follows:

Wealth Skill Level Bonus

From the 1st of the Hot Cycle 720 (so after 1st June 2020) players may claim the following Bonus to base wage depending on their Wealth Skill. For this purpose (and this purpose only), a magic skill counts as GM if it has 250 xp and 60 knowledges, regardless of whether the PC is revealed or not.

• Expert = + 1 WP
• Master = + 3WP
• GM = + 5WP
• Tier 2 = + 10 WP
