Please note that this is a guide for PCs (player characters) who work at a PC business. A PC business is a business that was created and is run by a PC. Please make sure to be clear on the Wealth System so that you are fully aware of all the terminology used.

Employee Benefits

If you are employed by a PC at their business, you can earn Wealth Points from your workplace in three separate ways.

1. You can earn Wealth Points by completing your seasonal Wealth Thread to earn your Seasonal Wage. You cannot use your Wealth Thread to earn additional Wealth Points from your workplace.
2. You can earn Wealth Points through your yearly bonuses (see Bonuses). And
3. You can earn Wealth Points by completing threads in which PC customers patronize your workplace by buying items or utilizing your services.

For every *completed* thread in which a PC patronizes your workplace, you will earn a certain amount of Wealth Points as determined by your workplace's Target Wealth Tier. A Target Wealth Tier is the Wealth Tier that your workplace targets; put another way, it's the Wealth Tier of your prospective customers. For example, a business with a Target Wealth Tier of Tier 10 will mostly cater to Tier 10 clients. To learn more about Target Wealth Tiers and PC businesses in general, visit the PC Business Guide.

If you have questions about your workplace's Target Wealth Tier, PM (private message) your PC Employer, check their business' Transaction Thread (a type of Location Thread) found in the city where their business is located, or check their business proposal in the Character Business Forum. Make sure to stay up to date on your workplace's Target Wealth Tier, as it can change (see What if I Want to Change my Business' Target Wealth Tier? in the PC Business Guide).

To determine how many Wealth Points you will earn per completed thread, use this equation:

Wealth Points earned per thread = (Target Wealth Tier + 2) / 2

And remember, parentheses before division.

So, if your workplace targets Tier 9 customers, you will earn:

Wealth Points = (9 + 2) / 2 = 11 / 2 = 5.5 Wealth Points (wp) rounded up to 6wp.

In determining how many Wealth Points you earn per thread, you will always round *up*.

If your workplace targets Tier 5 customers, you will earn:

Wealth Points = (5 + 2) / 2 = 7 / 2 = 3.5wp rounded up to 4wp.

Bonuses

Like any other PC, you may accept a Loyalty Bonus for using the same Wealth Skill consecutively for a year.
