Starter Quest

The trouble with rumors is that sometimes people actually believe them. After a practice recital with the troupe, Aiden is approached by young twins, a boy and a girl about the ages of ten. They seem ordinary enough…

...except they greet him with sudden familiarity and insist that Aiden is their older half-brother!

The Etzori twins are convinced they are the bastard children of high-ranking military Marshal, Slatrick Royce “The Black” and they believe that Aiden is too. Why? Because they heard so! And why would anyone ever lie about something like that?

Regardless if Aiden brushes them off, the twins proceed to follow him around like stray cats he once gave a fish to. They show up at the Lamont every night after. They wait for Aiden in the streets to follow at his heels. They proudly tell others that they are his siblings. They become fans of his performances.

Eventually, he might find out - either through intelligence gathering or forceful questioning - that the twins used to live in the southside Outer Perimeter. Their mother was a lowly prostitute who died from one of Lisirra’s plagues during Ymiden 719. She used to tell the children that their father was a military man, but nothing more. After she died, the twins spent the meager coin left behind to a woman known as “Trixy” who told the children that she knew who their father was. She also happened to tell them about Aiden, as an example of another bastard child that Royce had left to the whim of the streets yet was “doing well for himself”.

Aiden will find out that the twins have been sleeping in alleys. They will actively dodge and run away from attempts to put them in an orphanage. Most of all, they aim to claim Aiden as their family and thus, assume that he’ll take care of them… and who knows if Trixy had told them the truth or not about their parentage. Either way, Aiden will have to figure out a way to deal with these kids before they follow him a bit too closely one of these nights.
