Wealth & NPCs
Contents
Overview
This page deals with NPCs and their place in the Wealth System. Please see NPCs for all rules on NPC use. Here, we're just going to deal with the basics.
NPCs & The Wealth System
In the Wealth System there is no charge for either Flavour NPCs or Personal NPCs. It is important to note however, that while NPCs do not ever give an advantage in terms of wealth. They are part of your PCs story, but they are not there to give you additional money. It is perfectly acceptable for an NPC to give your PC a gift - but unless it is something at or below your pc's Wealth Tier, you must pay for it.
Family Wealth
Your Family Wealth is an important consideration in your creation of them. See the guide for more information.
Slaves & The Wealth System
PC Slaves live outside the wealth system. They own nothing and may not be permitted to do so. If a PC is playing a slave with an NPC owner, that owner must be a City NPC and their Wealth Tier must be agreed by the City Mod(s). The accessibility of slaves per tier applies Please refer to The Shoppe for Slave prices. Thank you.
FAQ
- What items can I assume my NPC(s) have?
- Your NPCs are assumed to be at or below your Wealth Tier in terms of their equipment. Therefore, you may assume that they have the same access to the Shoppe that you do.
- Can my NPC give me gifts which are at or below my Tier, but push me over the maximum amount allowed of that item?
- Really? No. No they can not. Don't ask, not happening. You may not exceed the maximum allowed of your Tier without spending Wealth Points. NPCs are not a way to get around that rule. Thanks!
- So, I can't have rich friends? Why not?!
- You can assume that your NPCs are any Tier you like. You can have rich friends, no worries. But those rich friends do not enhance your Wealth, Possessions, Items, Wealth Points, etc etc in any way ~ so your rich friends are tight and they don't help you. Shame, eh?
