Transmutation
Spark Theme & Persona
Flaws are inherent to all things bound to reality, ever-present to the point where the flaws themselves are, perhaps, the truest nature of perfection attainable outside of the Emean realms. Obsessively drawn to the strange and abnormal, the spark seeks to accentuate these "failings" into a rapturous celebration. The more warped the world around it, the greater the sensation of drawing nearer to perfection.
Witchmark
There's nothing subtle about Ulric's magic by design of his spark. When utilizing ether in any capacity, thin and iridescent cracks slowly creep outwards from his eyes, growing in length and intensity the longer he draws on his ether. These lesions are, technically, painful but have a euphoric sort of draw to them that encourage continued use of magic regardless of whether or not it's wise. [Approval]
Mutations
Competent
Excrescence
Any flaws that arise due to transmutation are now mirrored for a time in the host's body. These flaws linger according to the strength of the spell; e.g. competent transmutation last shorter than expert than master, all of which last for a quarter of the time an object has been enchanted for -- regardless whether the item is destroyed or re-enchanted. [Approval]
Expert
Erraticism
All inorganic matter affected by the host's ether is now unstable. Items may fall apart into unusable ash or sporadically bounce between strengthening and weakening imbued qualities. Shapecrafted materials may shift and change outside of intended form. The greater the strain on the host, the greater the prevalence of these eccentricities. [Approval]
Master
Idiosyncracy
The greater the instability of the natural world around it, the greater the host's personal stability - and vice versa. By utilizing the spark's magic, the more the host affects objects and people, the fewer the host's own personal flaws. Wounds heal at an increased rate, fatigue quickly recovers, and excrescent flaws will gradually fade. The more ordered the world, however, the slower wounds heal, the longer fatigue lingers, and excrescent flaws become far more pronounced than their counterparts. [Approval]
Distortion
The host's body is no longer flesh and blood but rather a smooth, porcelain-like substance. Anything the host transmutes takes on the form of this porcelain-like material, however the original body itself remains the only thing that is treated as "the body". The host no longer carries out biological functions, but is still able to perceive the world through senses and speech. [Approval]
