Unarmed and Unafraid

A Combat Capstone of Balthazar Black this capstone does the following:

Unarmed and Unafraid Through many battles against opponents wielding different types of weapons, Balthazar has developed a nearly perfect form of defense while focusing on the weapon of his opponent. This ability allows Balthazar to stand his ground against opponents of equal skill in a weapon of their choice without facing the same dangers other unarmed masters would through the use of careful evasion, precise parrying strikes, and well-timed counters. While using this ability Balthazar's defensive abilities increase to remarkable levels, allowing him to defend against armed, equally skilled individuals with the same ease he'd have fighting an unarmed master (barring externalities), but they increase at the cost of his offensive abilities. His attacks become less frequent than usual due to the focus he puts on evading and countering his opponent's weapon.

This ability is not effective against long-ranged weapons like bows and crossbows because it focuses on medium and close-range combatants with weapons such as blades, polearms, hammers, and axes.
