Starter Quest

You've had a pretty smooth transition as you moved to Scalvoris. Everything's been rather straightforward and you've acclimatized yourself well to the environment with few to no significant hiccups, challenges or obstacles to stand in your way. Perhaps a little unusual, in retrospect, but that all started to change very recently. For reasons unknown, beasts of prey have become preternaturally aware of you and your passing through the wilderness surrounding Scalvoris Town, seeming to avoid your steps and the trails you leave behind. You feel as if you're observed, eyes on you from the brush and canopy alike. Each time you strike out to hunt, you find your traps untouched and the tracks left by the beasts old and fading, as if they sensed your coming and moved out of your way. All of this culminated into the appearence of an old, grey-furred creature in your personal cave. You awoke to find a badger watching you from the cave's mouth. Attempts to scare it off promptly failed, and upon closer inspection, you find that the badger appears to be sick and injured, a blind eye and bloody scar over its face telling of a violent alteraction with another beast. All eyes are on you, it seems. None of this makes a lick of sense, even to your Sev'ryn ancestry. It had struck you as odd, perhaps as a Familiar reaching out, but... Something about it seems off. What will you do? It seems something, somewhere is quite interested in what happens next.

    • Mark of the Spirit Walker - Qit'ria's traditional Sev'ryn tree tattoo has become bound to the Beneath during her time as a ghost. This mark allows her to meditate with an Anak, Diri, Echo, or Phantom to form a bond with them. This is a highly personalized ritual and must be entirely consensual for both parties. Upon completing the long meditative ritual, a leaf with markings indicating the spirit or ghost she's bonded with will form in her tree tattoo. This allows Qit'ria to call on the spirit or ghost once per season per spirit/ghost to come to her from anywhere in Idalos. This summoning requires the other to accept it before traveling to Qit'ria. If they decline, it does not use up the once per season summoning. The summoned spirit or ghost can only stay at Qit'ria's side for a single trial before returning back from whence they came.
    • There is no communication formed through this, in either direction.
    • For the case of ghosts, Qit'ria would act as a temporary anchor for them while summoned. There is no damage to them for losing her as a temporary anchor as the trial runs out.
