Herein is kept all the repositories of information for players. Repositories include: flora, fauna, NPCs and materials, for example, along with Scalvoris' Lore Thread and all the information you need on what makes Scalvoris Unique!
Below are flora which are unique to Scalvoris. For ease, I've split them into type of flora. Please feel free to add your own creations to our Development Thread!. Please note that, quite often, these might also appear in food, materials or poisons. What is described here is the natural variety.
Flowers which grow alongside trees. They hang from the side of the tree, making them appear to be floating in the air. Can be used for a variety of medical purposes and have a strong scent of lavender.
Pretty little flowers which can be found all over Scalvoris. They're pretty to look at and the leaves taste like peppermint. Often used in toothpaste and for general oral hygiene.
A berry that when tasted in its raw form, recalls a random flavor that the person has tasted in the past. Usually this is a flavor associated with a memory they've mused over lately.
Sweet rainbow-coloured berries which grow on bushes nestled under large trees, each colour of berry has a different flavour and provide refreshment and a burst of energy!
Found in Sweetwine Woods and throughout the rest of Scalvoris, this unassuming tree is in constant bloom with bell-shaped flowers which make a pretty tinkling noise.
Found on Immortals' Tongue, these strange and isolated trees emit sounds ranging from soothing to those which will drive the listener to the brink of insanity
A moss that grows exclusively on rocks, and is itself as hard as rock.

Some of our resources will have notes on the write up, looking like this one, and they'll say "There are secrets to discover about this!". There are two ways to find out those secrets:
1. Either PM me before you use / discover the resource - let me know what you're doing. I'm always open to you telling me what you'd like the secret to be - or I'll tell you what I had in mind.
2. PM me / post in the Scalv OOC after you've used / discovered the resource - and I'll drop you a modnote in there!
Thanks!
Found: Scalvoris: The majority of these trees can be found on Immortals' Tongue
Toxicity/Hazard: Maddening if exposed to their songs for too long in the season of Cylus/late Zi'da. The cold, fast winds make the deathliest shrieking noises that can haunt its victims for dozens of trials after.
Appearance: Whistling Woods appear to be made of multiple trees, all winding together to make one larger organism. By nature, they are covered in holes and gaps which form intricate tunnel systems in the wood and bark. Few animals and insects live close to these trees, meaning that the bark is usually in good condition, if not pristine.
Properties: Whistling Woods are normally quite solitary trees; other plants don't seem to be too fond of growing too close to them. Through different seasons of the arc, whistling woods make a variety of ambient noises, some pleasant, some less so.
Other Information: The noises are made when hot/cold winds blow through the holes and gaps in the tree, generating either a low, soft hum or a shrill, sharp shriek on either end of the spectrum of ambience. While they appear to be made of a dozen or so trees, they are actually just one big organism, all connected by the same roots underground. They merge to form a stronger support when the winds pick up. The sound they generate wards off animals and the intricate tangle of roots they have grant little chance for other plants to grow near them.
Appearance: A flower with purple petals and two white stamen which protrude from its centre, the flower head stands on a foot long stalk that typically sports 4-6 leaves. There are typically 2-3 flowers that grow from the bulb. The base of the Jubiplunt is protected with larger leaves that make a dome shape over the soft earth and protect the bulb from adverse weather. At night, the Jubiplunt's stamen glow in a bio-luminescent white.
Properties: The Jubiplunt emits a therapeutic aroma that is known to aid in the recovery of the mentally unwell. The aroma alone will not cure the patient, but will most certainly speed up the recovery of anyone that spends at least 3 breaks a trial in its scent.
Other Information: The Jubiplunt grows in a field on one of the islands of Scalvoris, this is in fact the only place it grows in Idalos. It is believed among the locals that the bulb was placed on the island by Moseke herself, while there is no evidence to support this, the flower does fall under her domain. On the island, Jubiplunt grows rife, leaving the ground it grows on completely concealed by the purple petals, but will not grow anywhere but that island specifically. The locals have tried digging up some of the bulbs and planting them elsewhere, but they do not grow. The flower will stay alive and fresh for 5-7 trials before it withers, making it ideal to put in a vase then in the room of someone suffering with mental affliction while they sleep.
Important Note: Due to the eruption of Faldrass in Ashan 720, most of the Jubiplunt population was devastated. The only existing colony of plants resides within Serenity Garden.
These fungi are very rare and dangerous to collect
Found: Scalvoris, in caves
Toxicity/Hazard: Surrounding predators and alluring sweet scent.
Appearance: Roipo Pots take on the appearance of large, broad pitcher plants and are filled to the brim with Roipo Nectar. They often stand alone in spaces with the littlest amount of light, and are as such - difficult to find.
Properties: The Roipo Pot fills the air with the scent of its sweet nectar and draws in animals of all shapes and sizes, though, normally only reptiles will make their homes around these plants and lay their eggs in the nectar. Due to the nature of the nectar and the weight, Roipo Pots are quite strong and tough to break through. One would need a finely crafted axe and plenty of free time to cut through the stalk.
Other Information: The seeds of the Roipo Pots are in the stalk and simply spread across the ground when the fungus dies and decays, growing a new Roipo Pot in time for the next mating season. Each pot comes with a set amount of Roipo Nectar and will not make more as time goes on. They typically carry 70-100 litres of nectar which makes them a more suitable nesting ground for larger reptiles.
Found: Throughout Scalvoris in areas which are warmer. This means there are more of them on Faldrass, in Scalvoris Town and Scaltoth Jungle, but they can be found nestled throughout the island.
Toxicity/Hazard: Eaten whole and raw, these are very unpleasant and not able to be digested, so cause dreadful stomach aches. If the "snekfruit" is not collected correctly, the entire plant is ruined.
Appearance: Standing to about one to one and a half foot tale, these unusual plants are not, in fact, vines but get their name from their shape. Appearing to be a group of five or six snakes per plant, the fruit seems to be a snake rearing up with a long frond tongue. Whilst the "snek" varies in shade from light to dark green, the tongue can be any colour at all.
Properties: Strongly resembling a snake the body of this plant is a delicious and delicate fruit. The "tongue" of the snekvine, however, is known to be a potent poison. Removing the fruit from it's plant requires a level of skill as it must be sliced with care ~ if any of the plant leaves touch the flesh of the fruit a strange reaction occurs and the whole thing becomes inedible. Healers use these inedible fruits, though, as they are antiseptic and healing.
Other Information: Snekvines are a difficult fruit to handle well but for those who are travelling they are a real blessing. The fruit is moist and a good source of liquid as well as sustenance and, so long as the individual knows how to access the fruit without ruining it, they can be the difference between life and death. There is no seasonality to this, it grows all arc.

There are other secrets to be discovered about this plant.
The "tongue" is not available on the open market
Found: All over Scalvoris these are found in dark, shadowy and uninhabited places which have a good irrigation / access to lots of water.
Toxicity/Hazard: The vines themselves become poisonous if they are removed from the plant incorrectly. The poison is a mild one, not deadly. It is likely to lead to dizziness and mild hallucinations.
Appearance: Nestled close to the ground, these small plants have thick leaves which curl into a horn-like shape. They form a sealed unit and can be used to drink from. They grow in bunches of five or six from one plant.
Properties: If properly collected, the leaf of the plant can absorb flavour from liquid and transfer it to other foodstuffs. So, one leaf could be soaked in a very good red wine, for example and then very small amounts of the leaf will add that flavour to whatever it is added to. However, the main and most amazing thing about the Sweetwine Vine is that, if it is properly gathered and then cultivated, water collected in the Sweetwine Vine takes on a flavour which is unique to the individual ~ and is their perfect, favourite flavour. To be able to harness this, the individual needs master level gardening and cooking in order to grow, cultivate and prepare the vine. It is also a once-only deal and lasts only for one "cup" of water.
Other Information: Sweetwine Vines are common around Scalvoris. Anyone with the ability to harness their properties is not and therefore, at the moment, these are mostly considered to be legends.

There are other secrets to be discovered about this plant.
Found: Anywhere where there is a lot of water, in the muddy grass or under waterfilled logs or bits of wood, these mushrooms can be found
Toxicity/Hazard: When eaten raw, they interact with the skin and turn it a vivid shade of red for about five breaks (hours)
Appearance: Small, standing only an inch or two high, the reason for these being called 'toads' is lost to history. They usually grow to the cap being about 2 inches in diameter.
Properties: Other than turning the skin red they have no special properties. They only do this if eaten raw. When cooked the whole mushroom takes on a deep red colour and has a rich earthy flavour.
Found: Throughout Scalvoris and it's surrounding islands. There are forests of these grown due to the sheer usefulness of the tree.
Toxicity/Hazard: None, usually. Poisonous to Aukari in all its properties.
Appearance: Towering, beautiful trees with a number of healing properties. The tree itself can grow to fifteen foot in height and, for some reason, the shape is always very "mushroom like" at the top. The diameter of the trunk can be up to five foot, of the foliage, it can be easily as wide as it is tall. Although the leaves are yellow, this strange-looking tree has leaves on it all arc around.
Properties: The different sections of the Yellow Dragon Tree have different properties, as listed below.
Leaves
A rich yellow colour ~ used to heal and treat burns both immediately and long term.
Found: These grow on the side of trees ~ they tend to be towards the bottom of the tree and like it in the dark.
Toxicity/Hazard: None
Appearance: Each of these is a small, yellow "trumpet" which grows in such a way as to look like they are growing in steps up the tree.
Properties: Can be eaten raw and when they are they have a very pleasant lemon flavour. When cooked, they maintain the lemon flavour but it tends to be combined with whatever they are cooked with so are often used in dishes such as lemon chicken, for example.
Other Information: Commonly available
Sold in most markets around Scalvoris. 2sn will get you a reasonable amount of these, enough for a side dish / starter for two people.
Found: Throughout Scalvoris and it's surrounding islands. Tend not to be found in built up areas as they've been cleared away due to their nature. Fairly common in the wilds.
Toxicity/Hazard: Considered to be highly inconvenient, toxic and hazardous
Appearance: Nestled against the ground in clusters of between four and ten, Swananas look like they might be a fruit or food stuff of some kind. They are mottled yellow bulbous pouches hanging from the Swanana plant. The top of the Swanana 'fruit' is a deep red.
Properties: When disturbed, the Swanana "reacts" something like 60% of the time. It's "reaction" is simple ~ it emits a sudden burst of foul-smelling, noxious dust. This horrid dust causes major skin irritation and, if breathed in too much will lead to headaches, nausea, vomiting and eventual loss of consciousness.
Strangely, poisoners up and down Idalos (not to mention a fair number of teenagers) have tried to harvest this dust, but it does not actually seem to exist until the Swanana is disturbed.
