Both of Erin's parents are members of the Order, so Erin has a lot to live up to, and she feels the pressure of needing to live up to her parents' expectations. She has a passion for herbalism that often puts her at odds with Korin, but fear of her parents' disapproval keeps her in line most of the time. Erin is quite skilled at growing and gathering herbs and making herbal remedies because she learned a lot from her mother before she even joined the Order. But in accordance to Korin's wishes, she only studies the subject further in her free time. She will happily teach what she knows to others though because she knows that her parents would approve of her sharing that knowledge even if Korin does not. But like her continued studies in herbalism, she will only teach what she knows to others in her free time out of deference to Korin.
Her drive to be the best healer she can be rivals Korin's own because the need for her parents' approval has been combined with Korin's demand for perfection.
