Alignment

True Neutral: "A neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. She doesn't feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to good vs. evil or law vs. chaos. Most neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such a character thinks of good as better than evil-after all, she would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones. Still, she's not personally committed to upholding good in any abstract or universal way.

Some neutral characters, on the other hand, commit themselves philosophically to neutrality. They see good, evil, law, and chaos as prejudices and dangerous extremes. They advocate the middle way of neutrality as the best, most balanced road in the long run.

Neutral is the best alignment you can be because it means you act naturally, without prejudice or compulsion."

Relationships

Aeodan: Her twin brother. Edalene loves Aeodan more than anything or anyone on this earth. While twins, this does not mean they are always in sync. On the contrary, much of Aeodan remains a mystery to Edalene. He is less emotional and more devout; more committed to unbiased collection of knowledge, while Edalene wishes to use the past for the future. Aeodan has always been sickly, and as such, Edalene grew up protecting him - and now she does not know how to stop. Edalene will always sacrifice herself for her brother, and she will never, ever resent him for it.

Duncan: A man she met accidentally. A man she should not have liked. A man she cheated on a perfectly nice girl with. And yet, a man she loves very much. Duncan, while not someone she feels romantically toward, is her soulmate. Duncan is the person she will choose above everyone (besides Aeodan). He is her best friend, her confidante. The person she can turn to and not worry about whether or not he will think worse of her for it. They have a very close, physical relationship (occasionally sexual) but ultimately, his friendship matters more than anything.
