Note: Goku has novice intimidation and psychology. Yet he easily settled the tempers of hardened (albeit drunken) soldiers with a look:

The combatants, seeing the path and the determined look on Goku’s face, hesitated. It was enough for Luvi and the other private to grab hold of them, pulling them apart with a bit of effort. The soldiers struggled briefly but quickly calmed down once they were separated. The reality of their situation and the attention they had drawn sank in, cooling their tempers.

This is pretty clearly going above and beyond what is possible at novice intimidation. Goku has the strength to pull them individually off each other sure. But he doesn't have the ability to do so with a determined look, I'm afraid. So that's an instance of skill overplay. Please refrain from that!

Other than that, this was an interesting plot to follow the rupturing unlock from ensorcelling that Illuvia experienced. I'm not quite sure a few portholes would drain her ether, even at novice, but eehhhh, we'll say she was tired and overextended physically perhaps.

The smithing portion at the end with Goku, while well described and written, seemed very out of place in this thread. It felt tacked on for extra knowledge.

As this is the third warning for skill overplay, I've docked the knowledge. Please correct the overplay in the future if you want to receive knowledges!

This was still good writing by you both, in spite of the overplay and strange break from the overall plot at the end. Thanks for the interesting read!
