The House of Andaris

History
The House of Andaris

Even during their most glorious days in Sheor, the Andaris were the inspiration behind what characteristics a knight should possess in order to serve its people. Chivalrous, willingness and strength is what made a true knight. Surprisingly, these attributions of a Knight cannot be credited to the first lord of the house, instead the attribution fell within the hands of the first lady and regent of the House Andaris— who wanted to raise her sons to be fearless protectors of their realm and at the same time, kindhearted.

It brings great sorrow to say that the founder of House Andaris was neither fearless or kindhearted. Fernand Andaris, the founder, was simply a foolish ruler who almost led his city into a terrible life of poverty until Valeia Balheime, the last surviving member of a foreign wealthy merchant house, proposed a marriage between herself and Fernand. When she became Valeia Andaris, Breichiawl had changed for the greater good of its people. Businesses and establishments had improved greatly and Breichiawl had become a better place thanks to the soft whispers Valeia provided into her husband’s ear. She would continue improve Breichiawl after the passing of her husband and she, the mother of Fernand’s sons, would continue to rule in his place. Valeia would pass on her knowledge provided by the Sheor gods to her sons and they would pass it on to their children providing centuries of honor and wealth.

Verne Andaris is not the first of his house neither the last, but he can be considered a great example of what his family has always stood for in both Sheor and Rynmere. Considered one of the greatest rulers of Breichiawl and in his house history, Verne had always been a man of the people; he had shown the qualities of a leader since his youth. It is more or so why people will forever love and praise him. Verne is said to had always been a very approachable man despite his large stature. Before making any decision, it was known that he had always listened to the people first through a counsel which represented each class of his city. This is most likely why people believed he should have ruled Sheor and not house Luther.

At last, Verne and House Andaris were simply what made up the King’s army and personal guards for many years. When the royal family’s coin became less and less overtime, it was also House Andaris that had become the royal family’s personal banking house. Something Verne Andaris did not appreciate and often objected. Especially when mages began taking over the country and the royal family, being one of the many mages in Sheor, had done nothing to stop it. Verne had made many political uproars over the sheer power mages held as well as used against cities like Breichiawl, a place made of honest people who had no use of magic to improve life. Magic is anything but good to him, the knight's accusations were proven to be correct after a mage had taken the life of his betrothed. The uproars would not matter to the king neither would the victims. It was time that Verne took action.

Verne called upon his allies, the beautiful Cyrene being the first to answer his call. Others would follow and swear fealty to him. A large army to back him up, Verne's priority to take House Luther down was set in stone. An appropriate approach had been made-- Cyrene at his side, Verne ate and drank merrily with the Luther's until every man was too drunk. The attack was made when the king's men could barely stand and hold up a sword.

The extinction of House Luther was a success, but it was clear that today's great houses could not stay in Sheor. Verne heard of land, great land that belonged to no man and with the Burhan's help, he would take the people there. Verne settled on land with the most valuable natural resources to keep his family's profit at it's utmost high. Not a greedy bone in his body, he would profit off the land but share his wealth in almost the same way he did with the former royal family in Sheor. Many businesses can be credited to him, armies that he raised too.

Verne did not only provide wealth but protection too from raiders and enemies who wished to seek revenge. The knight's courage and bravery compared to that of a dragon. Verne's own personality is what led to the house's coat of arms. What started off as a child's tale about a man with the heart and fire of a dragon soon turned into a sigil that the house would forever treasure.

It was Verne's captaining that led many to a new beginning. He was asked multiple times to reign over Rynmere, however, Verne had many fears that he did not want to bring to life. Verne feared that he would not turn out to be the king everyone wanted and that he would fall in line to the kind of king that previously reigned over Sheor.

To prevent his nightmares from coming coming true and to fulfill the wishes of the great houses and people, Verne had decided that he would groom one of his children to take the crown. At first he was to choose one of his sons seeing them as great warriors. But Nora the beloved was a much better choice. She did not only hold her mother's charm and her father's courage but showed that you did not have to protect your people with only a sword or magic.

Nora was capable of preventing wars and negotiate without weakening Rynmere. Verne did not realize how strong his daughter had been until he and his sons had other matters to attend. Nora was capable of keeping the duchy in place while fending off raiders all on her own and she did not have to use a sword unless it was necessary.

House Andaris

Members of the Andaris House are proud, arrogant, and wealthy. They usually run businesses near the ports or in the top tier of the city. They have a history of getting what they want and when it comes to advising the king, they are trusted for their sound battle tactics and skills in politics and negotiation.

An egotistical and self-satisfied family the House Andaris are held in a highly favoured position by the royal family. As the producers of a quarter of the country’s food and wine they take a very fine eye to attention to detail, revel in the finer luxuries of the world and are proud of their heritage. Loyal to the throne, the ambition of the Andaris family has lead them to make up the majority of the royal guard, knights by their blood they work hard to keep their family name and honour. When not found protecting the King, their other duties are held amongst the docks where they organise the goods coming to and from Rynmere.

Re: The House of Andaris

Post 1 - History
Paragraph 1
Even during their most glorious days in Sheor, the Andaris were the inspiration behind what characteristics a knight should possess in order to serve its people. Chivalrous, willingness and strength is what made a true knight. Surprisingly, these attributions of a Knight cannot be credited to the first lord of the house, instead the attribution fell within the hands of the first lady and regent (1) of the House Andaris— who wanted to raise her sons to be fearless protectors of their realm and at the same time, kindhearted.

1. Include a name drop. I assume this is a historical NPC and thus should be written up with appropriate history.

Paragraph 2
It brings great sorrow to say that the founder of House Andaris was neither fearless or kindhearted. Fernand Andaris (1), the founder, was simply a foolish ruler who almost led his city into a terrible life of poverty until Valeia Balheime (2) , the last surviving member of a foreign wealthy merchant house, proposed a marriage (3) between herself and Fernand. When she became Valeia Andaris, Breichiawl (4) had changed for the greater good of its people. Businesses and establishments had improved greatly and Breichiawl had become a better place thanks to the soft whispers Valeia provided into her husband’s ear. 1. Needs a write up

3. When?
4. Needs a write up. No idea what this is.

2. From when to when?

Paragraph 4
At last, Verne and House Andaris were simply what made up the King’s army and personal guards for many years. 1. I'm starting to get lost because there's no clear timeline.

Paragraph 5

Not a greedy bone in his body, he would profit off the land but share his wealth in almost the same way he did with the former royal family in Sheor. Many businesses can be credited to him, armies that he raised too.

1. Where? By modern Rynmere standards.

Paragraph 7
Verne did not only provide wealth but protection too from raiders and enemies who wished to seek revenge. The knight's courage and bravery compared to that of a dragon. Verne's own personality is what led to the house's coat of arms. What started off as a child's tale about a man with the heart and fire of a dragon soon turned into a sigil that the house would forever treasure.

0. No issues.

Overview
Mostly fine, just needs fleshed out and clarified more. Though I would like to see some more history in terms of recent history. Current events sort of deal.

Also, the rest of this will need fleshed out past the History section too.
