A Leucistic male Thissum Ithecal, with near perfectly white skin and deep blue eyes, topping at 8' 2" tall and built like a true beast. His visage is keenly crocodile in nature with an odd ridge along his snout, highlighted by a scar reaching from under the right eye, across, and connecting to his left upper 'lip'. As bulky as is natural for his kind, though in the middle range of height, he weighs slightly more than he should given more defined musculature especially in his core/back and tail-- which is powerful enough on its own to be usable in combat for knocking down enemies. He does not walk with his tail held in the air, but lets it drag as to not use any more energy than needed. His gait can be described best as an almost skulking yet proud beast, with his nose tilted down to see others before him, but his head held up with relaxed shoulders.

His body possesses numerous shallow scars that often blend with his cracked skin, short the notable one on his face, and a second across his throat that looks more akin to a burn than caused by blade. His tail further supports his crocodile appearance with two distinct ridges of scutes that join 2/3 of the length down, making a flatter, broader tip perfect as a rudder when swimming. While his tail is long, the muscular core of it makes it less troublesome, surprisingly, even in more crowded spaces-- so long as people remember that Ithecal have tails and don't trip over it. Being stepped on seems to do nothing as he does not react at all, perhaps not even feeling the pressure through his thick hide. All in all; Thaddeus seems built to take a beating, and deal out double what is received.

Personality

Calm, patient, and soft are three words you'd never expect to describe something that looks like a brutal monster, and yet those are three words that come to mind for most who know Thaddeus personally. A gentle giant when he isn't fighting, he'd sooner offer whatever semblance of a smile he can and share tales of wonder than wear a permanent scowl and shoulder off company. That being said; he is not at all quick to open up to others. While he wants to believe in the good of all peoples, he does not trust without good reason.

A true guardian at heart, however, he looks on others as a father would their child, a tell-tale warmth in his eyes as he watches those around. Quiet in nature, he isn't one to speak unless necessary, preferring instead to reply with a nod or gesture, this might be in part to his scar but it is unknown. His 'resting' face often seems to be more sad or even in pain than angry.

History

Born to a nomadic tribe near Ivorian, Thaddeus was one of his tribe's many hunters. He respected the land everywhere they went and did not take more than was needed, and what was not needed but taken, was given back respectfully. Perhaps considered druidic or shamanistic in nature, his tribe held more peaceful values than war-like in the sense they did not seek to conquer but exist peacefully in the land. They were, however, not weak by any means, and had their own strong warriors to defend the tribe against beast and bandit alike. Thaddeus was in line to be counted in the ranks of warriors for his tribe as well, but a sense of wanderlust had always been present in his mind-- constantly looking to the horizon even with how much his clan moved about.

When coming of age to become a warrior, he faced a trial of combat with one of the seasoned veterans. He fought long, hard, but in the end could not best the old scale; instead leaving the trial with a new mark across his snout-- a mark all those who fail their trial wear. While there were others in his tribe with more notches on their snout, he did not take well to this failure, questioning himself on if he was ever strong enough to protect the tribe. For this, he set off on a journey of self discovery; to find what his purpose truly was and all but abandoning his life within the tribe, hoping to return when he was strong and seasoned enough to protect them and guide them.

In his travels he would find a young merchant girl, an Aukari, outside of Etzos, travelling and selling various fabrics she'd crafted and decorated. Her warmth in personality and welcoming nature slowly won him over; especially seeing that she was travelling the world alone with not but a dagger to protect herself- when he saw how others eyed her with suspicion or even contempt for her ginger colored hair, he stepped up, becoming her unofficial bodyguard from that day.

He would travel with her for some time, growing close enough to open up to her and become more comfortable. In turn for his service, though she could pay little, she taught him the common tongue, and how to read it-- even though he had little chance of writing himself. It was in his time spent with her that he earned his nickname; Scarecrow-- as he showed an uncanny patience for standing perfectly still for periods of time only to move when approached closely or addressed. All seemed well for the two, until a terrible accident befell them, giving him the scar on his throat, and taking her from this world. He became less trusting of others that day, and is still highly reluctant to ask others for help, no matter the situation.
