Starter Quest

A long time has passed since Balder's father died in the ambush that claimed the lives of his as well as twelve other soldiers. A long time for the bandits that perpetrated the attacks to scatter to the winds as the retribution of the Empire was fierce and immediate.

However, there are some clever members among that group, who also have the ability to remain hidden in plain sight. They have long since left a life of criminality behind them, but eventually, the truth finds a way out into the open. One of these former bandits gets drunk one night and tells a tale of thirteen scalps of the soldiers that were ambushed, and still carried, each by a member of the former bandit crew.

The ambush that took so many soldiers was notable enough at the time, that word gets back to Balder about this rumor of the drunken former bandit. It's up to him how he wishes to investigate, and if he decides to purge the remaining former bandits carrying the scalps and redeem against the dishonor toward the Empire's fallen.
