Jyvran

History
In the Age of Strife, the Immortal Jyvran and other Immortals were devised as foot soldiers in the Original's war against the World Spirit Idalos and their dragons. Jyvran was created during Pieren's contemplation in the deep jungles of the south continent. There, Pieren taught him much about the nature of reality, of change, stasis, and return. For whatever reason, Jyvran took the form of a amphibious frog, one of Pieren's favorite animals that represented resilience and cyclical nature of the world they'd attempted to make their home.
Jyvran had a wonderful relationship with Pieren at first, learning fast and much about everything Pieren could teach him, until Jyvran was deceived by Aelig into thinking that Pieren planned to end the existence of the Immortals. Aelig subsequently absconded with many of the secrets that Pieren shared with Jyvran, and used those to sow discord and chaos throughout his existence.
Jyvran had a falling out with Pieren, for sharing Pieren's secrets garnered in meditation with nature in the Southern Jungles with Aelig. Believing his course to be true and right beyond much doubt, Jyvran embraced change, but the disorder and imbalance within his own domain of Stasis rebelled against this sudden mutation, and he found himself fracturing out of control from the moment that Aelig deceived him intojoining the Original War on side of the Originals. He fought and commanded the lesser Immortals in battle against dragons and spirit alike, earning many victories by his strange devices, turned to the purpose of war.
By the time the Originals had shattered, Jyvran's life was nearly spent to the point of near-death, and in a last bout of regret, and effort to redeem Pieren's legacy, attempted to salvage the damage done to the World Spirit Idalos. He crafted a complex artifact, which was dubbed simply Jyvran's Device. Ralaith was the only one who Jyvran told of its existence. This device forestalled the degradation of the World Spirit of Idalos, as it went into deep slumber, essentially reducing the destruction that would've been wrought to a long healing sleep. Jyvran died shortly after he created the device, after the end of the Original War. He was never known to mortalkind as he had passed before the rise of humans, and his Changeling's Boneyard was a pit from whence nothing that ventured into ever returned, until Faith Augustin, Vivian Shiryu, and Varlum Onormous entered to retrieve his device.
One of the children of Pieren, Jyvran had more in common with Ralaith than the likes of Aelig, Edasha, and Delroth. Introspective in the extreme, he was strange, standing apart from his own kind, taking the form of a frog instead of a more human-like shape. Embodying the domains of Change and Stasis in his time meant that he was sometimes at odds with his identity. A scholarly and crafty sort, however, in that he is one of the deceased Immortals to have left at least a trace of his existence, in the form of Jyvran's Device:
"Jyvran's Device is a divine artifact. It embodies one of Jyvran's Domains, which is Stasis."
The device was discovered first in a revelation to Alistair Venora by Ralaith, and later revealed by Ralaith to Vivian Shiryu, Varlum Onormous, and Faith Augustin in the hopes that it might be of service in restoring Ellasin's soul and reversing her revelation. They succeeded in the War of Death and Souls doing just that, Varlum bearing forth with Jyvran's Device to destroy the All-Nexus, thereby freeing Ellasin's soul and reversing her status as a Lich.
As to Jyvran's fate, which ended in his death within the Changeling's Boneyard, it's something of a mystery even to the frog men that inhabit it and revere the Divinity that he embodied and imparted in some small measure to them as a result of his fracturing into death.
"Once I had a brother," Ralaith told Alistair quietly, wistfully, "He was...different from us. I suppose we are all different, the Immortals, I mean, depending on how we manifest or interact. But he...was special."
"The Changeling Boneyard is where Jyvran came to grips with the contradictions in his Domains. Jyvran had suffered from something of a fracture in his personality between Change and Stasis, however where Pier and Pre had split into twins upon being born, where their domains are in disagreement, Jyvran remained whole for unknown reasons. Stasis wasn't powerful enough to override Change and the others, and so it was removed and placed into Jyvran's device, along with a small part of his other domains to keep it from containing all of the domain and theoretically destroying the aspects they embody.
However, the process did destroy Jyvran but not before he devised one final creation, the creation of a race of Fracture-dwelling Frogmen, the Igelak to guard his device for all eternity, until it's ready to be relieved of its purpose. Now only they and his device remains in the depths of the Changeling's Boneyard. There, it is said to be guarded and wielded by an abomination, a spirit that embodies something alien. A Spirit of Divinity. The Spirit lorded over the Igelak like a Priest King, until he was imprisoned by Vivian Shiryu, and the Igelak were freed from their dependency.
The Boneyard itself is the result of the process of piercing the veil between Idalos and Emea, through the bleeding fracture wounds of the Immortal mixing with the grounded reality of Idalos. The Boneyard subsequently formed in a far remote part of the sea where few have occasion to travel or a need to, north of Melrath."
The Changeling's Boneyard is essentially a major fracture. Physically it resembles a large cavern, hollowed out of the sea. Water walls and ceilings bound it on most sides save the entrance, uncannily covering the chamber. Basalt and coral structures carved out of the natural geology of the sea-bed are there, and evident are several monuments to the Spirit of Divinity that lorded over the Boneyard for many centuries, Pearl Hopper. Aside from that, there are innumerable wrecks of ships that have attempted to brave the Boneyard, in hopes of retrieving treasure or knowledge. This became a source of sustenance and economy for the Igelak that dwelt theere, improving their conditions which were otherwise fairly austere. The monuments are often festooned with the treasures recovered from these wrecks, with cobalt and gold, silver, and sometimes iron decorating the large, frog-like visages and statues that watch with empty eyes at the passage of time.
He attempted to leave one last mark of himself upon the world, before he was overcome by the fracture wounds he'd incurred, both by creating the device and by creating the Igelak. In a passage revealed by Varlum Onormous, it was said:
"...he went through the possibilities elucidated on the page. Spirit, Induk, Leviathan, and finally, Dragon... Dragon held for a little longer on the page, and Varlum might've found himself getting excited at the prospect until that too fell into the page. It was not a spirit, Induk, or a Dragon that had defeated Jyvran."
Appearance
Jyvran's actual appearance is a mystery, although it's almost certain that he's quite different in form due to the mutability of his nature. It's possible he looks very much like the frog men he created in Changeling's Boneyard.
Memories of the Past
Jyvran has no memories anymore as he fractured to death. Were he to be returned to life, he would remember Pieren with bittersweet affection, although he would be reticent to speak on him. Pieren taught Jyvran much of all that he knew about the nature of Idalos.
Presently
His remains lie buried deep beneath the ocean, in Changeling's Boneyard.

Personality
General Traits
‘’’Conflicted:’’’ Given the conflict and contradiction within two of their domains, Jyvran is at odds with himself, and for lack of a better word somewhat insecure in his existence. ‘’’Introspective:’’’ Jyvran can speak at length on any subject that happens to interest him at a given moment, but tends no to engage in petty banter otherwise or subjects that are of no immediate interest to him. ‘’’Revolultionary:’’’ Jyvran believes in changing things up every once in a while, and views aspects of reality that can stand to be improved, as things that ought to be improved and replaced with new and sometimes untested concepts. ‘’Changeable:" Jyvran is generally good natured, but prone to making mistakes by dint of his constant pushing envelopes and trying new things. He's not opposed to changing courses, unlike many Immortals have been, and can switch gears easily if he sees an error in his course.
Strengths
‘’’Knowledgeable:’’’ Jyvran learned much in isolation with his father Pieren during his earlier years. Much of this involved the way the natural world could be harnessed and utilized for the betterment of various aspects of reality. ‘’’Supportive:’’’ Jyvran is supportive of his friends, siblings, and allies almost to a fault. When he'd decided that something or someone in the world is worth supporting, he tends to stick to that, in spite of his changeable nature. At least until the subject of his support changes itself. ‘’’Calm:’’’ In spite of the inner conflict presented by his dual domains of stasis and change, Jyvran has a calming demeanor, likely cultivated during his long seclusion early in life with Pieren in his southern jungles.
Weaknesses
‘’’Gullible:’’’ Jyvran can be easily deceived or fooled by those with the capacity to fool such a powerful being. Especially when playing upon his interest and established system of supporting a cause or person. ‘’’Automatic:’’’ At times, like the frogs that are his domain, he will act without thinking. Many of his built in actions are as automatic as a frog snapping a fly out of the air with its tongue. ‘’’Hermit:’’’ When things go awry, and he is unsure of how to put them right, he's more inclined to isolate and set himself apart from his peers than to get into the thick of the problem solving. He has a go-it-alone attitude, however, and while it may look like he's given up, he's really just gone to ground to fix what he can on his own.
Personality and Verbal Tics
‘’’Uncouth:’’’ Not possessed of the greatest social graces, he has the physical form of a frog, and often will exhibit tics and mannerisms that disgust or disrupt the sensibilities of more human-like civilized Immortals. ‘’’Quiet:’’’ He's quiet as established, unless he has a reason to be talkative, such as when one engages him about a topic that is of interest to him. ‘’’Meditative:’’’ While there is a conflux of change about him, he has a calming and soothing demeanor, and often appears to be in a meditative phase when not engaged in one action or another.
