The Dragons came first, envoys of the Verses, to command the physical world with flesh and bone. They were made strong, honorable, natural sovereigns to administer over a reality the spirits found difficult to fully exist within. Many of the Dragons were granted the gift of sentience, the ability to choose and learn along with a connection to Emea and the power to dream. But the Dragons were too much like the Spirits that made them, stubborn and proud. They did not develop the new world or fully use the gift of their dreaming, only reigned over Idalos' primal existence.
