Starter Quest
After Lavana arrives in Scalvoris, she begins to hear the whispers of Domains more and more frequently. However, the frequency of the whispers changes depending on where on the island she is. The closer to the bay she is, the more frequent the whispers. There are people on the island who might be able to help you understand and control the urges the Domains impart, and others who would have knowledge of the strange places on the island. They might be able to help, or she could try to get answers on her own.
Daughter of Raskalarn
Lavana Tharn is Raskalarn's Mortalborn.

Mortalborn Parent Story
Bloodlust
Call for Blood
During the heat of battle Lavana is at her most dangerous. The drive to bring about death flows through her, driving her to kill and maim as many of her enemies as possible. After being in combat for two bits, Lavana’s bloodlust reaches its zenith and she is capable of channeling that drive into her own body and activating this ability.
When activated, Call for Blood will enhance Lavana’s strength and endurance by a substantial amount. Making her an absolute terror on the battlefield the longer that she fights. This ability initially lasts for two bits and will enhance her Strength and Endurance skills by 50%. If the battle continues beyond two bits then Call for Blood will be extended by two more bits and her strength and endurance will be enhanced another 50%. If the confrontation continues past the fourth bit then Lavana’s strength and endurance skills will reach their ultimate state and increase another 50% for the length of one final bit. During this single bit her Strength and Endurance skills are boosted by 150% in total.
While this ability is active she will be consumed by her fervor for battle and prone to over exerting herself and causing damage to her body. This power is violent and and will result in anything as damaging as shattered bones or something as minor as a severely pulled muscle.
Call for Blood may be activated once per trial.
Demise
Hand of Mercy
When Lavana strikes down a foe, she is able to activate her divine heritage to take on the youth and vitality of the slain. By concentrating for ten trills on the body as the life expires, Lavana draws in the person’s strength, using it to aid her for up to a trial. This energy heals wounds that Lavana has sustained, with more grievous wounds requiring more energy; barring decapitation which will ultimately mean death.
A fatal wound would absorb all the energy, a serious wound would absorb half the energy, and minor wounds would allow many or all to be healed by this. Additionally, this ability allows Lavana to remain youthful in appearance, so long as she uses this ability at least once per season. This ability may be used once per trial, but is a very delicate balancing act as Lavana must consider that over using any Mortalborn ability can and will lead to Fracturing. The very thing which keeps her young could, if overused, be what tips the balance of her mortal born powers.
After going a season without using this ability, Lavana ages at twice the normal rate, taking on physical frailties that would befit her age rapidly. Her skin begins to wrinkle and sag, and her bones and body become weaker with each passing trial. Her hair grays, and she finds it more difficult to move and act. At a cycle without using this ability, she ages at four times her normal rate, being able to go from youthful to ancient in a matter of ten trials. Using this ability can restore her to her former youth, but the more aged she is, the more energy it takes. If Lavana has gone a whole season without using the ability and has begun, therefore, to age, it will take five separate instances of death energy to restore her. Should she have gone a cycle without using it, she will require 10.
Massacre
Brutal Crown
Lavana is an agent of Massacre. Where she goes, so too does wanton death and destruction upon those that oppose her agenda. They must be vanquished, man, woman or child. The white flag of surrender provides no quarter or capitulation, this ability acts as an aura around her for thirty yards when activated; it may be used once per trial. Within that radius Lavana becomes a catalyst for aggression and brutality, affecting those around her. Those in her presence are inspired to dig up harbored hatred and become more likely to carry out atrocities against those they perceive as having wronged Lavana. Individuals that are normally passive in nature are harder to be coerced by this ability, and skill in Discipline and Empathy can aid in negating it to a degree.
This aura lasts for ten bits, allowing Lavana to place the Brutal Crown effect on others during that time. Those under this influence maintain this effect for one break after having left the aura, and any murderous acts they commit under the influence add to Lavana’s vital energy in a similar way to Hand of Mercy, but with some very important differences. If Lavana activates the energy replenishment aspect of this ability, then she can heal no more than minor to moderate wounds (so a single deep cut or a single broken bone), however to heal even a minor wound would take five times the amount of energy that Hand of Mercy requires. Furthermore, the damage Lavana heals is given to her followers, due to her connection with them via Brutal Crown.
Extended or repeated use of Brutal Crown on Lavana’s followers will have a demoralizing effect on her comrades. Those that are impacted by the aura more than once a season will be aware afterwards that they have been manipulated or physically harmed because of her choices. This makes mutiny and betrayal a reality that Lavana must contend with every trial.
