The Blessing of Elithem
Those possessing the Blessing of Elithem have an obvious aura around them, one gifted to them by Zanik. The aura is visible to all who have the mind to notice it; subtle, wispy, and golden in color, the aura is the mark of Elithem and appears whenever the marked individual uses its abilities. The aura of the blessing is mesmerizing and can be quite powerful, if trained and developed properly. It acts as an illusion and draws in all senses of the individuals around the marked person in an attempt to awe, seduce, and deceive the senses. The color of the aura remains the same from person to person, only changing in size and opacity the stronger the blessing becomes. Individuals blessed with Elithem cannot use their abilities on others with the same mark.

Musical Enchantment (Minor) | The character is able to control the emotions of a crowd within a short area around them and for a very short period of time while playing or singing music. |
Eye of the Beholder (Minor) | At this level, the character has only enough control to cover small parts of their body with the aura of Elithem, causing all who look upon them to see only pleasant, attractive, desirable features. This ability lasts for a short period of time. |
Passionate Skills I | The character is granted an extra three skill points which may be spent only on the following skills: Any Musical Instrument skill, Singing, Seduction, or Persuasion. Any skill points granted by this Mark can break the 250 (or 100 if fast track) point cap on skills. Within these skills, the points may be spent how the pc chooses. |
Mesmerize | Character is able to control the attention and actions of an individual (1 person) through song or instrument for a short amount of time. (This is not to be used as a form of god modding, the PC is allowed to decline and/or resist any commands given. This skill is used is to be used as a means of coaxing someone.) |
Words of Empowerment (Minor) | Can be in the form of poetry, lyrics, or speech. The character is able to empower and buff a single person or themselves with strength and focus. The effects only last for a short period of time. |
Steadfast | When this ability is in use, character is able to perform enormous feats of strength for a short amount of time. (Between 2-5 minutes) |
Temptations (Minor) | When in use, the Elithem aura is able to extend briefly from the character to another individual within arms reach. The aura acts as a transmitter and receiver, implanting suggestions into the person's thoughts while the character receives impressions of the individuals' interests and desires. The ability may only be used on 1 person at a time.(Certain skills, like meditation, may prevent this ability from working.) |
Elithem's Light (Minor) | The aura is able to envelop the character for a short period of time, allowing them to recover from being dazed. Light emits from them during this time, resisting any and all toxins that prevent consciousness and acts as a barrier against the character and the outside world. This ability is a trigger effect and will automatically activate when the player is dazed. It will last only until the character regains full consciousness. This ability has the potential to massively drain the character's energy. |
Musical Enchantment (Moderate) | After two song progressions, whether by musical instrument or singing, the character is able to mesmerize and control a decently sized crowd around them. They are able to send out strong emotional suggestions to their audience that may be either positive or negative. Depending on the strength of the suggestions and the individual's mentality, the character is able to implant emotional memories into the minds of the people, causing them to have false memories of certain events. |

The effects are almost always felt and can raise anyone from the depths of despair. The buff lasts for a period of time. |
Temptations (Moderate) | When in use, the Elithem aura is able to extend a distance from the character to other individuals within a 15ft circumference. The aura acts as a transmitter and receiver, implanting suggestions into the thoughts of the people around the character while the character receives impressions of the individuals' interests and desires. The higher number of individuals this ability is used on, the weaker it becomes.(Certain skills, like meditation, may prevent this ability from working.) |
Lament of Athivel | The character, through musical instrument or song, is able to call upon the spirits of the dead, wisps, and the Immortal's themselves. Depending upon the character's experience with the Elithem Blessing, nothing may happen. It is discouraged that a character blessed with the aura of Elithem preform this ability without proper ritualistic exercise, spiritual awareness, and humbleness. Elithem's Light (Moderate) | The aura acts as a defense mechanism against sudden attacks from airborne toxins and oncoming projectiles. Extended a distance from the character's body, the aura senses when toxins and other harmful foreign items break through its barrier. Like a shield, the aura becomes light, creating a barrier of light around the character while sending suggestions back into the character's thoughts about where to move or what to do to avoid the attack. This is trigger ability. If the character becomes dazed, this ability will remain active until the character becomes fully conscious. The energy of the light also has a defense feature which burns all who touch it. |
Eye of the Beholder (Moderate) | At this level, the character is able to control the aura to cover their entire body. Any who gaze upon the character will think they are seeing the person of their dreams. This ability lasts for a short amount of time and while at first, the character may appear one way, over time, it will become quite noticeable that their features are changing. |
Elithem's Strength | For a period of time, the character is unresponsive to all wounds inflicted upon them as well as fatigue, hunger, and sickness. The aura instead, sinks below the character's skin and only appears as shinning, white eyes on the character. They are able to preform quickly, with percussion and strength. This ability may be fatal to the character if kept within this state for more than a break. |

They are able to send out emotional suggestions, amplified and entrancing to their audience that can either positive or negative. Almost always is the character able to implant emotional memories into the minds of the people, causing them to have false memories of certain events. The memory may be as clear as day in their minds and stay fixed in their thoughts for quite some time. Under the right circumstances, a character may even permanently alter the memories of an individual. |

This ability requires great focus and concentration; the character must focus on the sound vibrations projecting onto the air around them before guiding the sound to it's listener. Elithem's Light (Major) | The aura acts as a defense mechanism against sudden attacks from airborne toxins and oncoming projectiles. The character is able to control the light at this level, manipulating it to cover another individual or a group of people. This is trigger ability. If the character becomes dazed, this ability will remain active until the character becomes fully conscious. Because of this, any individuals surrounded by the Elithem's light will remain within it until the character is fully conscious. The energy of the light also has a defense feature which scorches any who attempt to touch the barrier on the outside. At this level, Elithem's Light has a possibility of being fatal to the character. |

At this level, this ability takes almost no energy to perform, causing it to stay active for a very long time with a minimal rest period. |
Elithem's Descent | In battle, the aura acts as a means of distraction, making it seem like there is a fog over the eyes of all who look upon the character in this state. Depending on the mentality of the individuals, some are not affected by this ability while others are caught in a momentary haze, allowing the character to strike quickly, with adding strength from the ability. |
Roaring Glory (Major) | This is the last progression of Words of Empowerment. When the character and/or individuals around them are buffed with this ability, whether through poetry, lyrics, story, or speech, they take on their own aura of Elithem for a short time. If the character is the only one buffed, they gain more energy from the mark, their rest times for abilities become nearly non-existent, and they become a force to be reckoned with. Individuals using the aura are only able to produce up to 3 low level abilities. |
Temptations (Major) | At this level, the character is able to extend the aura over a great distance to multiple individuals and project to them something of a dream or memory while receiving bits and pieces of the individuals' memories. The more individuals affected by this ability, the weaker the dream or memory becomes, allowing the individual to break away from the aura.(Certain skills, like meditation, may prevent this ability from working.) |
Deafening Reverberation | This ability is given only to those appointed Champions of the Immortal as this ability requires the ancient tongue to use. When active, the aura sinks just below the skin, making the character appear ethereal while the ancient tongue is spoken in very deep, dark tones. All within a 3 mile radius of the character will experience a sound so ungodly, it causes some to faint. The ancient tongue is spoken for bits but those experiencing the sounds from it will hear it for several bits if not a break. The ability affects everyone except the character, so use caution. |
Whispers | This ability is given only to those appointed Champions of the Immortal for this ability requires the ancient tongue to use. This action requires a great deal of focus and concentration. Using the ancient tongue as a mantra of sorts, this character is able to extend the aura to anyone they have a clear mental image of. The aura acts as a connection between the character and the individual, if successfully established, and they are able to listen to their thoughts, watch their dreams, and explore their minds. This ability is very dangerous as it affects both the character and the individual. Neither of which can awaken once the connection is established. The character is not able to change anything in the individual's memories or thoughts. They do, however, have slight control over the individual's dreams but it is very minimal and takes a practiced Champion to do. If in this state for a long period of time, the character runs the risk of having their mind engulfed by the individual. If this happens, the character will die but their memories will live on in the individual. On very, very rare occasions, the Champion's mind will remain active and they will, quite literally, become the little voice in the back of the individual's mind. Use this ability with the most caution. |
The Curse of Elithem

The curse of Elithem appears on the individual as pitch black eyes. Not even the white of the eyes show through the curtain of darkness, and though the Individual can still see, what they see and hear are both cruel and deceiving tricks of the curse. Zanik's curse is not commonly seen in Idalos but those who possess this malediction are usually sexual offenders, driven mad by the hallucinations brought on by the curse.
Hated
At this stage, the Individual experiences episodes of the curse mostly in their dreams. It appears as vivid, intense nightmares that are hard to wake up from. The dreams usually involve loved ones in horrific scenes, traumatizing memories, or hallucinations of the individual's worst fears. These dreams sound and feel very real and can occur a number of times in a season. However, the effects of the curse only manifest in dreams and are very rarely felt when the individual is awake. That doesn't mean that it's impossible to experience episodes of the curse in the waking world.
Despised
The curse grows progressively worse if the individual isn't being proactive with its removal. At this stage, the individual is susceptible to episodes of the curse in both dreams and the waking world. Nightmares are guaranteed almost every time the individual sleeps and because of sleeplessness, the individual is likely to experience hallucinations frequently in the waking world. This curse can be taxing on the individual's cognitive abilities and runs the risk of slowly destroying the person's mind.
Condemned
By this point, the curse is in full effect as the individual experiences both nightmares and hallucinations. The episodes are so frequent, the person losses awareness of dream time and reality and slowly begins to mix the two together. Individuals experiencing this stage of the curse are a danger not only to themselves but to any who attempt to help them. More often than not, the individual is left crippled, locked within a mind that is now full of horrific things. It is very hard for people to come back from this stage.
