Wells Used

The wells used to build this Holo-com have come from the supply provided by Faith in this post.

The lab and its NPS have been fully developed here and their ability to make these things established here.

This thread is part of Winston's Relief Effort plot-line that came out of the Pirate Attacks.

You should be aware that Winston has used these NPCs from the Order of Adunih extensively.

Also, the following letters have been played out between the Order's NPCs and winston:

• Letter offering help during the initial relief effort
• Agreed with the Order of Adunih NPCs to continue to work together

Gennadiya would likely be made aware of these things.

Dear Gennadiya,

I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Winston Millar and you are probably aware that Faith has left to me the responsibility of leading Isonomia.

I would like to start by sharing my most sincere condolences on your loss. I did not know Faith for long, but in the time I did, I found her to be an irreplaceably unique individual that showed great care for all that she met. She will be gravely missed.

With Faith's wishes in mind, I am picking up the strings that lead from Isonomia and trying to establish how we will move forward.

I would like to thank you and the Order for all your help in the Saiore relief effort in the wake of the Pirate attacks. I would like to commend the actions of

Clara Ramsbottom

,

Gwyvith Toraj

and

James Banister

. I very much look forward to working with them again.

Also in accordance with Faith's will, you should also be aware that we have been left joint responsibility to manage the supply of Wells across both the Order and Isonomia. I would like to discuss this and a range of any other matters regarding how we can continue to work together going forward.

To help in all of these matters, I have two proposals for these wells:

1 - A medical scanner.
2 - A Holo-com system.

As such, please find in the parcel attached a Holo-com for the Order to use at your HQ. Simply touch the device while the button is pressed for the individual you wish to speak to is pressed and your image and voice will be transmitted to them and theirs to you.

Using this device, we can communicate with (I hope) our teams all over Idalos in real-time.

I am very excited to discuss this development with you and establish to whom you would like me to distribute these devices to should they be something you approve of.

If it suites you, I would very much like to speak to you, using the Holo-com on the 10th of Ymiden. I will have my team here so that we can discuss anything you wish.

With the letter from Winston, Gennadiya had received a parcel addressed to her, at the Order of Adunih HQ. Within it was a small hand-held device with a series of buttons. Only two of the buttons currently worked and they were labeled with a "W" for Winston and "IHQ" for the Isonomia HQ in Rharne.

As she picked it up the device, nothing special happened... If she pressed the button, suddenly, the mirage of three people appears in-front of her.

"Yes. We have quite a few..."

, stopped suddenly as the new face appeared in-front of them all. "OH?! Ummm... Ah! Gennadiya..." Clearly a little flustered, Alex gave over the floor to Winston for the greetings.

"Gennadiya? Hello! Et's soh gud tuh finally meecha. Me soh glad yuh cud make et." He paused for a moment to allow her to speak. "Me 'ave Alex an'

wid me 'ere. Me 'ope yuh are doin' well?"

The images were far from perfect and obviously cast a transparent image into the air, but the their voices and appearance was quite clear and communication perfectly achievable. As long as she kept touching the device, she would continue to transmit her own voice and image.

"We were jost discussin' wat we 'ad planned far de wells. Sarry meh only sent de one, bot yuh cun 'ave mar ef yuh tink dem will be useful far yuh teams. Per'aps yuh 'ave some ting's tuh discuss also?"

Genna noticed the package on her desk as she walked in. Her skirts fluttered around her legs as she walked over to the desk and looked at the package and the envelopes attached to it. She grabbed a letter opener and tore open the letter and began to read it. It was from Winston the new head of the Isonomia. The Lysorian woman hadn’t ever meet this Winston and hadn’t heard about him until recently as the tragedy of Faith’s death had occurred.

She read through seeing him acknowledged the orders work in the recent issues in Scalvoris. Especially the praise of specific members in Scalvoris, Genna was aware of Clara Ramsbottom. Gold cloaks were a higher rank so less common. He wanted to discuss the distribution of the wells. A subject that Genna honestly wasn’t particularly well versed upon. Genna made a mental note that she would need to look into that as the Order suddenly had a stock of them in common with Isonomia. She noted there were other issues to discuss. Which included some objects. A Mdeical scanner and a Holo-com system. Genna wondered what a holo com was.

Apparently the box had one. Genna finished the letter before turning her attention to the box. She carefully opened the box and looked at the object inside. It appeared to be a hand held device with a bunch on none labeled buttons. Well that wasn’t accurate two were labeled. Genna studied it for a moment her expression curious but controlled. Well he wanted to meet today so Genna pushed the button.

Suddenly transparent images of three people appeared. Genna wasn’t sure who was Winston so she waited for the others to speak and make introductions. Apparently they were surprised by her sudden appearance but in a different way then she was. The image wasn’t completely clear but it was a huge step in communication. The others would see a beautiful young woman with sapphire blue eyes and platinum blond hair. She was dressed in a pink dress that helped bring out the pinks in her own fair skin tones. She did wear the white robes of her rank in the order. There was a smile on her lips as she watched Alex shuffled the focus to Wintson, who Genna saw was a Ferret. The young woman had been to Saiore’s realm enough times to consider such things as normal.

Understanding Winston would have taken a bit more work, but as she always did to work, you never knew when someone who didn’t speak common would come in, helped her understand what he was saying.

“Hello Winston, Alex and Jai’den.” She said acknowledging each in turn. “It is good to meet all of you.” The healer worked with many different types of people who spoke in many different ways, but her speak was the same measured clear style that her mother had spoken and taught her daughter, well and then been enforced by the girls school she had attended. “Thank you for the invite. I am pleased to be able to attend.” She listened and nodded her head as Winston continued.

“I will admit that wells and there uses to make magical isn’t a subject I am particularly well versed in. If you would care to enlighten me a bit. Either way I will look more into the subject. As for this magnificent communication device I do feel making one for at least ever large clinic for the order would be very useful. If nothing else it would save the time it takes to write everything.” She paused for a moment before continuing. “I would be interested in hear some more about you and your long term vision for the Isonomia. For the order I have plans to continue to focus on keeping the unity but individuality of the order in tact. I do feel it is important that each clinic be able to do what it needs, but they also feel connected to each other and able to call upon other clinics when in need. Also the continuing expansion of medical knowledge as well as its teaching.” She said providing answers to her own questions for Winston first.

He knew very little about Gennadiya and was as alien to political machinations as cheese was to chalk, but the woman seemed confident, friendly and got directly to the point. These were all traits he liked and his face adopted a broad charismatic smile.

"Well, de Well's are currently stored at de research lab en the 'ospital in Rharne, ef yuh find yuh need any, bot a Holo-cam for each clinic seems like a very gud idea. Ef yuh cun send os a list af de clinics, me will ensure dat gets done far yuh." He looked to Alex for a moment, who took a note to ensure this was done. "Me as not very gud at arranging soch tings, but Alex 'ere es me Administrator an' cun 'elp yuh wid anytin' like dat."

He paused for the platinum haired woman to respond, should she wish. "As yuh cun see, de devices cun communicate ova lang distances," He giggled, the novelty apparently still tickling him before he remembered something important. "...dough them require powaful Wells dat shud be distributed wid some care. Day are safe tuh use, bot still..."

Alex interjected politely, giving a duely deserved bow to Genna has he spoke. "Lady Lyosha, a pleasure to meet you, I have heard a great many good things." There was a slight paused before he continued. "Why I believe Winston might be trying to say is that they may be considered to be highly valuable. Not a concern, but a matter that should be considered when choosing to whom you offer the responsibility of caring for the devices." He tone was considered and polite, now his has recovered from his initial surprise.

The ferret nodded merrily as Alex finished speaking, looking back to Genna before he continued. "De research facility in de 'ospital is lookin' intuh lats af different applicashuns for de Wells. Me 'ope yuh don't mind, bot per'aps we cun send yuh regular reparts an wat we manage tuh create? My goal es two fold, first tuh discover de limits af de applicashun af wells and the secand es to use deese limits to 'elp... 'oweva dat might manifest."

While that information was absorbed he considered her question about Isonomia and his intentions for the order. He took a considered breath before shrugging gently. If admitting you had no idea what you were doing to other leaders of your fellow Factions was a but move, this was apparently not apparent to the naive little Cadouri. "'anestly, me still adjustin' tuh de 'ole affair. Faith cud do tings dat me cun only dream af, soh meh cun only say dat me intend tuh do far Isonomia de best me cun. Slavery es bad. Equality es gud. So me gonna start fram dere... Me guess." He glanced at the two men beside him briefly, before continuing. "Me nat really shar me built far dis... Me skills are en makin' tings nat organising peopal... Soh far now, me es 'elpin' wid dat first while me find me feet." He smiled, apologetically, as if this might not be enough.

"OH! Bot meh want tuh grow Isonomia, get rid af dis nasty, yucky slavery ting..." The way he spoke of slavery might suggest that the entire, very alien concept seemed totally absurd to the tiny, fluffy creatures sensibilities. "...and 'elp people get equal rights... Cus, did yuh know? Some people don't HAVE rights? Like dem are not really PEOPLE?" He shook his head, as if simply understanding this concept had taking him a great many sleepless nights... which it had. "We gat a lat af work tuh be done en de dust quata en Rharne far startas. Et wud be truly a honar ef yuh wud cansida Isonomia and all et's resarses at the disposal af de Arda."

Genna watched her gaze interested and intent as she listened to Winston was having a device in the major clinics would be a good idea. He also mentioned that the device was valuable as it was made with wells. Genna didn’t know much about wells, but understood that they were valuable and not something to be casually handed around. She smiled in understanding at the statement but turned her attention towards Alex as he interjected his comments as well. She nodded her head in acknowledgement of his praise of her. Genna didn’t care for recognition but she also didn’t believe in false modesty either. He continued expanded upon the possibility of theft. Genna could easily understand there concerns, and she appreciated them brining it up their concern about its security.

“That is a very good point. The larger clinics are run by higher ranking members of the order and have been with the Order for a while. The clinics we would supply them already have to secure dangerous and, frankly in the right markets, valuable medicines. So I would make sure that they would only be supplied to places that have security against outside thief’s. I trust my healers but I also am practical enough to know that temptations come to us all so work to keep them honest. It will also make keeping in contact with those clinics regularly and would certainly us them to speed up that communication.” She smiled. “So it wouldn’t be put on some shelf and forgotten about.”

Winston explained to her about what his ideas for Isonomia she nodded her head at his comments. He seemed to have similar ideas to what Faith had in regards to the organization. He seemed very passionate about getting people better conditions. Genna nodded her head in understanding of what he was saying. He explained that he talents were for making things and organizing peoples. Genna glanced at the communication object she was holding at his comment about making things. That was very cearly obvious about making things. Organizing people was also useful thing. Both of them together could be very useful. Inventing things that could make peoples life easier would go a long way to helping them get more out of life. Genna was aware of the situation in the Dust Quarter and they worked towards fixing it, but part of it was they had to work to get the necessities of life.

“That sounds like an excellent starting point.” She said with a sincere smile at Winston. “We will take you up on that. Please also don’t hesitate to reach out to us for anything you need and we of course are willing to do what we can to help with the Isonomia.” She looked at Winston and said. “I know this is a hard time with the loss of Faith, how are you doing?” She waited to see what he would say. It was part of her that always wanted to help people and see how they were doing.

The white-haired woman's assurances were more than ample for the ferret, who nodded gladly as she described her people. Alex had no doubt it would all be in hand and so they moved on. "Dat's great! Jost let me know 'ow many yuh need an' me will get et sarted." He said merilly, waiting to take the order, quill in hand.

When Genna asked how he was doing, he blushed a little. "'onestly, me es pretty overwhelmed. Were et nat far Alex 'ere, me tink me wud 'ave me tail stuck en de door." He and Alex both chuckled. They were obviously already on very good terms, which was something that ferret was also good at.

"Me duh 'ave a rather adventurous idea, et's a mar proactive group af peopal, going out tuh 'elp peapal an' affar education ar... Um... 'transpart from dems mastas'." He said with a sheepish smile. "Wen dis happens, me will be in touch cus we will benefit fram de suppart af some 'ealers." He concluded with a bright smile.

He looked over at Alex briefly with the intention of concluding the meeting. "Me really most tank yuh far yuh time. Me will get dem 'olo-cams ova to yuh, A. S. A. P."

With that, unless there was anything else the renowned woman wished to discuss, after receiving the information regarding the order, the trio parted ways and Winston started making the Holo-coms, to order over the weeks that followed. Delivering them by hand with a note that read:

"It's good to talk..."

As the conversation was winding down Genna smiled and though for a moment as she did some counting in her head as to the most secure of the clinics. Her expression was lost in though for a moment and then she nodded he head and said. “Ten besides this one should cover the largest cities, and the ones that we have the best security on.” She then looked at the two as the took the request. Winston even in this stressful time was a good humor.

She nodded as he mentioned being overwhelmed. “I can sympathize. It is a lot of responsibility to suddenly find. You will be fine, and I have hopes for all of us as we find our footing.” She gave a little laugh as he spoke of reaching out when they needed healers. “We will be here to help.”

As they finished up the conversation Genna did say. “If you find yourself with time in Rharne, I would love it if you came by for a visit either here or at my home. It would be nice to get to know you better.” She didn’t prolong the conversation though at let it wrap up. She made a note about the incoming devices and made sure that their delivery was watched for. She didn’t explain why but just that they were top priority.

When they arrived she sent a return note saying “Thank you. It is good to talk.” Then with hand written notes explaining to the heads of the order who she was sending these to she arrange for there delivery.

Comments: Winston is such a skilled inventor, and I commend him on his willingness to work together with Gennadiya.

I didn’t know what exactly a holo com was either. I was just as confused as Gennadiya!

Her surprise was described well. At the same time, she managed to be graceful and professional. She gives me the impression of a true leader. She doesn’t only consider the present but is interested in long term plans!

I didn’t know that Gennadiya and Winston hadn’t met before this thread!

I appreciate the fact that Winston explained his inventions to Gennadiya. Judging by what I’ve read here, Winston and Gennadiya are the perfect people to continue Faith’s legacy!
