Vivian nodded when Vega pointed that the blood bond would make them family by more than just Faldrun's blood. She nodded again when Vega said she didn't particularly view Faldrun as family. "It's...I never met Faldrun. Frankly, on a personal level, I never really considered him at all. My issues with him were largely professional, what with me being a Rharnian soldier, a Warden, and one of Ilaren's Blessed, and him being an ass in general and a particular enemy of Rharne, Ilaren, and Lovalus." she said, before shrugging slightly. "But as for him being dead, I'm not hugely fussed about not having had a hand in it. It's the fallout that concerns me now. Someone will take up his place as the enemy, and we're just waiting to see who gets the spot." she said, shaking her head.
When Vega said she was ready, Vivian gave Martha another pet then followed Vega over to where she gestured, taking off her gloves as she did. "We'll need to share blood, physically. A small cut on our hands should do the trick." she said, she taking out a small belt knife. She cut her own hand while Vega cut hers, then held out her hand to her sister. The moment they clasped hand, Vivian let out a sharp growl of pain. She had felt this burning before, when she had first gained Steelblood, and it still felt like she was burning from the inside out as her metal blood mixed with Vega's to bring her sister fully into the house. There was a slight advantage this time, as her Mortalborn powers tried to take the edge off the pain for both her and Vega. That didn't help overly much and when it was done, she slumped forward and took a long slow breath as the pain faded from her veins.
It had only been a bit, but it felt like longer and Vivian nodded when Vega asked if she was alright. "Downside of using all that armor of mine is that I'm actually not as used to physical pain as it sometimes appears. Burned like it did when I first got it." she said, straightening back up and shaking herself. At Vega's last question, Vivian paused for a moment, then shook her head. "Not so far, but I figure it'll become apparent what changed with the blood and the sword soon enough. It wasn't clear to me what had changed when I first got them, after all." she said, standing up as her Mortalborn powers healed the cuts that her and Vega had made in their hands. "In the meantime though, I believe you promised me a flight?" she said, grinning slightly as she put her gloves back on.
