Home to the ellune, Oscillus is a frozen land that contains pockets of civilization. The brutality of the sub-zero winds does nothing to break the resilience of the natives of Oscillus as they determinedly battle against all odds to revive their beloved Treid.

City of Treidhart (Master NPCs List)

Elders

Linur Narae qala-Treid

Image
Linur Narae is tall for an Ellune, with a great beard and a twinkle in his eye. He is very old now and his wisdom, cleverness and oratory skill is almost legendary. He revers Treid as a founding figure but at the same time believes in the welfare of the Ellune first and foremost and not focusing entirely on the dig for Treid's heart. He is sometimes accused of his lack of faith...

Pellan Morso

Image
Pellan Morso dina-Sunai is an average-sized Ellune, clean shaven and quite old. He is a strong (sometimes seen as fanatical) believer in Treid, having had a strong religious background. He hopes to pour almost all resources into digging for Treid's heart as well as the creation of large temples and statues, with prayers to be made compulsory during the day. He is often accused of being fanatical and leading a cultish group of Elders.

De'zla Vralna

Image
De'zla Vralna, known as Lady Vralna, is the eldest of the Ellune, who is often one that speaks little but when she does, all go silent. She speaks plainly on some subjects and tend to cause the sway in highly contested debates. She is frail and has two handmaidens to help her walk.

Lari Sor'ia dina-Sunai

Image
Lari Sor'ia, wears white robes and mostly dwells at the Dig Site where she searches for Treid's heart through prayer. She is committed to the worship of Treid and works to help others to do the same. She is accepting of those who do not have as much faith as her and is benevolent to the poor and needy.

Masuli Divur

Image
Masuli Divur is a hard man, to himself and to others. He is a strong believer in Treid and loves the people of Treidhart. He makes up his mind quickly on each issue and fixates on certain things without letting go. He can cause much anger with his strong opinions.

Infinion

Vlar Sintar dina-Sunai

Image
Vlar Sintar is the current Infinion of Treidhart. He was reluctantly promoted to the top position by the Public Council. The reluctance was due to certain blemishes in his mostly illustrious career, in which as a Myrion, he had punished soldiers for praying rather than fighting, as well as reports of statements made borderlining blasphemy. The reason for his appointment however, is his overwhelming excellence in leadership and raising the standard of Ellune's fighting forces.

Vlar is larger than life - almost literally. Taller than most, his foul mouth and hard driving personality have made him well loved by most and well loathed by some. He dresses in a larger light blue cloak and loose fitted weaved furr tree clothing, fitted with an ice sword of high quality adorned with Lia’maska, starlight crystals. This parade of expense has been enough to convert his reputation to a symbol...

Myrions

Marnor Yas'lai

Image
Marnor Yas'lai is honorable and proper. He is meticulous in his habits and keeps his appearance well groomed and his quarters clear. His voice is soft and precise. He is a very clever strategist and his forte is logistics. Marnor does not like the arrogance of Vlar at all, but due to his stoic nature, he keeps his feelings about the matter in check. He is waiting to take an opportunity to become the Infinion...

Besem Kad'un qalar-Treid

Image
Besem Kad'un is close to retirement age and has garnered many arcs of experience as a soldier. Even as old as he is, he is heavily involved in overseeing and even participating in training exercises and is well-respected among his soldiers. He does not trust his fellow officer Marnor and is supportive of Vlar.

Unea Nayir

Image
Unea Nayir is an ex-Black Ice operative who oversees their training. As a trainer, she has a reputation of being brutal and the story often told, is that she killed several men at a young age after they had beaten her father dead for owed money. She excels at clever strategy against overwhelming and powerful odds. She finds herself more in league with Marnor, whom shares her calculating thought process.

Clustions

Ledea Doyoe dina-Sunai

Ledea Doyoe, a Clustion officer, is a strong-willed, even fiery leader. She is focused on achieving objectives and sometimes can lose sight of the limitations of her troops. She is very fine with a sword, championing a fencing style that requires changing her weapons shape as she fights. She often oversees training and is a hard-task master. She supports Hardac, but only grudgingly.

Ravor Divi'Kai

Image
Ravor Divi'Kai, a Clustion officer, has been recently promoted to his position and already, some of the power has gone to his head. He often enjoys picking on recruits and spends most of his time in the training ground. He is well-loathed by the troops so far, but he has avoided notice and punishment from his superiors.

Hardac Savina

Image
Hardac Savina is a burly and taller than most Ellune, characterised by a lost shoulder and arm, with an ice arm as a replacement. He must continually manipulate the ice to do his bidding and his skill at this has allowed him to fight at a very high level. Hardac is a fair and strong leader and well loved by his troops.

Ordis Malu

Image
Ordis Malu is thin and almost skeletal. He is an excellent manipulator of ice, in the form of icy beams amongst others. He has a reputation of being a harsh teacher but at the same time, he ensures that his students do learn. He is ambitious to the point that he will do underhanded things to raise his position. He despises Hardac and Ledea, biding his time to ruin them...

Shopkeepers

Vasir Ina'kai

Image
Vasir Ina'kai is eleventh Master Ice Smith of the Alnae School. He is the master craftsman of these weapons and his knowledge has been obtained from generations of knowledge. He has one apprentice that works with him to refine their craft. He is a cheerful old man, except when it comes to ensuring his weapons and armor are of the highest quality, and he can be quite angered if it is not. He has fine attention to detail and goes out of his way for customer satisfaction.

Vasir held an icy blade within his hands. He turned it about with a hand and his face was morose. The look seemed to make his already loosely hung skin, droop further from his face. His hair line seemed to recede further as he frowned and the thin sheet of fabric wrapped from his head, seemed to shift back and forth as his brow rose up and down as he looked over the sword. An eye flicked open along the base of the blade. The iris, a tiny dot in a pool of blue, expanded and contracted, as the eye ran its focus along the edge.

The young Ellune apprentice next to him looked back and forth at the blade and his master's expression. His young, smooth face and well-kept long grey hair, were almost in complete opposite to the craggy facial features of his Master. The boy wore only a modest fabric wrap about his body and his face was tinged with a will to impress.

The eye slid away from the blade and moved sideways.

'There is a air pocket near the back of the blade.' The old Ellune spoke softly to the boy. 'You didn't maintain adequate pressure of the ice during formation. Luckily it is not close to the edge, or this would have been a fatal flaw. I also see a small hairline fissure along the middle but it is parallel to the blade, not perpendicular.' His little finger traced the almost invisible line. 'This is caused from differential expansion and contractions. Had you maintained balance in both hands, the crack would have been avoided.' He nodded to himself. 'It's a fine blade. It is no masterwork, but it will fetch an adequate price.'

The sigh of relief from the young Ellune was not audible, but his body seemed to expire in relief.

Riyan Quia'li

Riyan is a young apprentice to Vasir and has been for some arcs now. He is learning the ways of ice-smithing quickly and Vasir is pleased with his progress. He often helps serve customers and organise deliveries.

His young, smooth face and well-kept long grey hair, were almost in complete opposite to the craggy facial features of his Master. The boy wore only a modest fabric wrap about his body and his face was tinged with a will to impress.

Mayir Shani

Mayir Shani is as tough as they get as a shopkeeper. She is an excellent haggler with customers to ensure the price does not drop. She is tough with her employees to ensure the shop operates to keep up with demand.

Niyar Ul'ivi

Niyar Ul'ivi is a quiet man who keep to himself. He prefers to work on his wares without being disturbed. He lost his hand in an accident and has never been the same since. He however uses his other hand quite expertly to form his furniture using Nilas. He is downcast when he addresses others and often employs others to do the selling for him. Indeed, the items in his shop seem to sell themselves.

Miscellaneous

Vayar Mar'sua

Vayar Mar'sua is the Master of the Vault: the storage facilities of Treidhart. He has a perpetual look of disdain and makes anyone who requests for items, wishing they hadn't. He is demanding and critical of his employees and demands the best. Vayar is incredibly sharp with numbers and particular with the inventory lists to the point of being pedantic. This means that items come and go efficiently with complete written record.

Sinu Anelka qalar-Treid

Sinu Anelka is master gemaire of the Gemmery in the Frozen Vault. His work is considered the finest among his Idalosian peers and will be given only the finest raw gems to work on. He is softly spoken and does not like to be disturbed when he works. He will mostly gesture to his underlings rather than speak to them. He and Vayar, master of the Vault, have a respectful working relationship: play by the book, don't get in each other's way and things will go smoothly.
