Beauty, Fashion, and Virtue Pageant

The School formerly known as Miss Austere's School of Movement & Music:, now dedicated to the Immortal Daia, has sent invitations to all citizens to attend a beauty contest and fashion pageant. The pageant is inclusive of all genders and races, and will include a bathing suit competition, and also a talent portion.

There will be prizes on offer for those who place second and first runner up, as well as a grand prize for the overall winner.

It's rumored that Edasha and Daia themselves might be attending, or at the very least observing the proceedings, based on all the ways they conduct themselves during this period.

The pageant will run from the commencement of Ymiden's Rise, to the 69th of Ymiden when the pageant will be held in a grand event, where winners will be announced and decided.

Participants will be graded based on several aspects.

Fashion: Your style and how you wear your clothes, your hair, your makeup. Several dates throughout the season leading up to the judging, your PC will be given an oppportunity to show off their fashion to the public as well as the judges.

Also in honor of the revival of the Thunder Priesthood and their recent reforms,, the four virtues of Ilaren are key to this competition.

Tolerance: Expressing inner beauty more than outer, this involves what charitable actions you can take on behalf of your fellow creatures. Your generous spirit and kindness toward the most unfortunate. Your ability to accept gracious offers of drink without making a fool of yourself, as well.

Candor: Here this judges your PC's capability and skill at various vocational or artistic endeavors. Very open ended, almost anything might be considered a talent.

Fortitude: Your ability to handle an honest brawling contest and still keep your hair and appearance properly. Physical beauty generally is judged in this aspect.

Enlightenment: Your ability to expound on very complex subjects, your pc's intelligence and engenuity and wisdom. Essays are accepted in lieu of public speaking.

This will be a tracker style event. There will be hidden objectives you can achieve, explore and try different things! You may hit upon a bonus objective that will lead to greater rewards and a lead!

Summary of thread: Azrael is at Harlot 'n' Hound to support his friend Avelza in her brawls. While he is there he is approached by a stranger who asks him about the Pageant. Azrael feigns disinterest until the man is compelled to admit why he really wants Azrael to participate. Azrael agrees and they drink together throughout the night.
