Short Description ~ A fairy berry that grows deep inside the Sweetwine Forest only. The berry produced is considered Fairy Food, and as such it's effects only extend to the limits of Sweetwine's borders of influence.Forums Found ~ Sweetwine
Toxicity/Hazard ~ It can make one sad, emotional, or otherwise put one in a dark mood.
Appearance A purple-black berry that is shiny, and bears an ominous red hourglass on its belly. It tastes bitter sweet, like a coffee bean.
RPG Properties The berry causes a temporary change to come over the one who eats it.
Property 1 ~ Physical Change: The eater of the berry becomes more pale and contrasted in their coloration than before. Their lips darken, their skin pales, and their eyes may sometimes turn a shade of red or another equally dramatic color like violet. It also seems to extend to the clothing they wear, where it will appear darker than before. The change persists for around half a trial, before they revert, or try a different fairy berry that has transformative abilities.
Property 2 ~ Mental/Personality Change: The bleakberry causes its subject to become interminably morose and bleak in outlook. They will tend to see the world in a pessimistic albeit fatalistic light. As a side effect, dreadful sights and other fearful things don't seem to bother them as much while they're changed. The change persists for around half a trial, before they revert, or try a different fairy berry that has transformative abilities.
Rarity Common in Sweetwine.
How To Use Can be used to make a really tart tart. Alternatively can be used to make a deep black/indigo/purple colorations or dyes.
Side Effects Make eyes roll.
