Event: Craft of Dreams

This event is a tribute to all Tech Guy has provided us over the years. In honor of all the recent improvements over the past few months and weeks, we've decided to dedicate this event to Tech Guy.

Has your PC ever had a problem in need of fixing that didn't involve the use of a weapon? A squeaky hinge? A lockpick that kept breaking? A carving knife that will not stay sharp?

There's a person out there in Idalos, a Champion of Aeva, Teq Yv'Ihadi, who knows how to fix all sorts of problems. He'll be coming to the cities and wilds of Idalos soon, to bring your PCs what you need. But first, in exchange, you have to help him fix a little problem.

Doran's house in Scalvoris Town came with a private beach with an old, disused dock suitable for small to medium boats with some renovation. That old dock is still unusable. Doran would appreciate Teq's help when it comes to renovating it.

I've changed the sign-up code to this.

Basically, you'll be asked to help with something that relates to the crafting/crafty/utility skill you identify your character as favoring/highest. In return, he'll help you fix the problem of your own that you identify.

[Areia]

Name of PC~ Areia.
How many sign-up entries for this PC?~ One or two.

Collab or solo~ I would like to do one solo and one collab, though one solo or one collab is ok, too.

What form of problem would you like to fix (non-violent fix; one fix per entry)~ The Sovor'n grounds [the tribal grounds for the Sovor'n mer tribe] are very important to Areia. Areia would like a way to guard the grounds better when she is in other waters.

Alternatively, Areia would very much like it if there was a way to stop mer getting trapped by fishermen, in fishing nets.

Fieldcraft

for a "utility skill", if that's ok. There are some crafting aspects in fieldcraft.

Other than that, she doesn't have crafting skills. Most crafting skills, though, would be suitable to her interests.

Other~ This is not in the sign up, but other things about this character that might be important are that she "speaks" mer telepathy, is illiterate, and does not know spoken or signed language. Mer telepathy is limited in that she is able to speak to others telepathically~ but, other than mer and biqaj, others are not able to speak to her.

- Prae believes in practicing a skill to improve it, but ensorcelling is difficult to practice without blowing the well and yourself up, and even if you do, he only has a limited number of wells to practice on.
- Prae wants to practice jewelry smithing, but a lot of the skill requires delicate work better done by someone who isn't about 8 ft tall with the hand size to match.
- Prae will need to be able to keep crafting equipment on him while on the move.

There are tunnels under the Smooglenuff Barony. Devin wants to make sure that they are safe and that there are no collapses and such, and he'd appreciate Teq's help in that regard.
What is your PCs highest Crafting/Crafty/Utility Skill (Any skill that could conceivably be used to fix a problem not combat oriented): GM Cosmetology. If that doesn't work, he also has Master Cooking.

What form of problem would you like to fix (non-violent fix; one fix per entry): Tei'serin is currently badly injured, with her left arm useless due to a shattered shoulder, and her left leg useless due to a shattered hip. She knows that it may be possible for her to recover fully from her injuries if she is proactive about finding a way to recover. She could use a few ideas that might lead to a cure for her injuries.

- Faith has a box from Vri (it was a wedding gift given here ) that is unable to be opened - but Vri told her to open it at the "right moment" - she figures that, since Pad is malingering behind the barriers, and she's all busy busy - now might be a good time!
