As Prae's message to Faith went out, a handful of knights charged in, just a few bits too late to join the fight.
They were not, as it turned out, thrilled that Praetorum had a live, still screaming headernickel trapped in a ceramic pot.
There had been some back and forth, arguing about whether to kill it or not and if it were safe to keep it in a cooking pot; the eventual compromise was that it was fine if Prae could keep the creature under control until Doctor Augustin arrived, as long as he put it in a container significantly less breakable.
Prae didn't argue, already feeling the pot growing hotter even through the water he was caressing it with, which was why he was now sitting alone in a room surrounded by pots. On either side of him was a cauldron filled with water; inside of one was another, smaller iron pot. In theory, the ceramic pot should have been inside of that, but judging by the way the water in the cauldon was beginning to boil, Prae had a feeling the pot inside had long since shattered from the heat.
With a wave of his hand, the water in both cauldons rose into the air, and switched containers, the boiling water now in the empty cauldron to cool down, while the cool water surrounded the heated iron pot. The cauldon didn't have a lid, so Prae made do with the next best thing, and had placed his shield over the top to further muffle the screaming.
Now, all there was to do was wait for Faith, and see if there was anything she could learn from the banshee.
