"South-Tooth" / "Gatortooth"
The Southwood Alligator lives in Etzos, along the Southwood River in and the waterways that branch off from the river and in marshlands/swamps. They are known as dangerous predators to the people of Etzos, but outside of Etzos, the Southwood Alligator is also known for having teeth which when ground up into a powder can be peddled as an aphrodisiac enhancement for stamina, endurance, and strength... with varying results.
When these teeth are combined with powder made from Southwood Alligator scales, mixed with Southwood River algae and then dried out for a few trials, this makes an actual stimulant drug known as "Southwood Gator Tooth" or for the sake of time, "South-tooth" in Etzos, or "Gatortooth" everywhere else. It can be ingested in a myriad of ways, but is most often smoked, or dissolved and then injected into a vein.
Gatortooth is considered both a medical and a recreational drug. The difference is in the dosage. However, it is usually considered illicit on a global scale because it tends to be trafficked by the underground drug markets, but a part of the medical community also swears there is benefit from it in certain treatments. In small doses, with quality control (average quality or better), and prepared through tinctures or topical mixtures, Gatortooth can be used as a numbing agent and anesthetic to reduce or eliminate pain.
In most cities, regardless of application, it can be very expensive due to small supply and high demand.
