Brief summary of what you did: Vega is helping out in Hopetoun - she's going to do her unique brand of therapy (shurrup, it's fine, gerron with it, mun) on the settlers and thump Darius until he stops feeling guilty.

Oh, also, we're building defences. But that's just a smoke-screen, really. We all know what's REALLY going on here.

Darius and Vega's reputation for taking charge and getting things done gets a boost here. In time, the settlers begin to take matters into their own hands as encouraged and tasks get underway, and done in good time. The planning of defenses and such should grant them sound postioning due to Vega and Darius' input and discussion. The more the Settlers work at recovery, the sooner they'll feel better, even after Vega has departed. Darius should feel some of the trauma, the personal trauma, of the pirate attack subside after he finishes his collaboration with Vega.

Brief summary of what you did: They're going to take care of the pirate dead. Also, they're going to
1. Scavenge as much wreckage as they can.
2. Take the 2 whole remaining ships for Sweetsong.
3. Search the ships for loot.
4. Also - Vega's going to examine the whip she picked up in the pirate thread and check the Pirate Lords themselves for magic items and treasures.

The two remaining ships are 1 masterwork longship (bireme style) (from the slaver) and a masterwork cog from the Butcher. The Cog is half-sunk near the shore, having ground to shore in the trial following the battle. There's a good deal of treasure to salvage from it, but the Captain's coffer is obviously fitted with a set of deadly traps that would take a lot of engineering or larceny skill to defeat (Expert-Master). 10 wp in loose treasure. Also enough lumber and material to make a tier 5 structure/boat. Tag me if you try to open the Butcher's coffer. The Longship of the Slaver is still intact, however, but has many oars that require people to actively row them. If they want to check the scattered wreckage of the Boar's ship, they'd probably find treasure and stuff spread across where it started tearing out its belly along the shore. The lumber of the boar's ship is mostly charred and useless for building.

Brief summary of what you did. Oram calls on the Doctor, realizing too late that things are a bit sus. Finds him gone, tunnel leads to the bank of a creek where he was apparently keeping a boat. Escaping in boats makes the conspirators near impossible to track unless the Rangers can find the far rally point. Oh, and the Doctor stepped in some horse poop at some point.

Also probably assume some curiosity about Vega's service record. Stories and rumors from Storms Edge have likely made it to Scalvoris by now.

Brief summary of what you did: The twenty five Haven settlers who were not abducted or killed seek out and find Balthazar at the Black Cats headquarters. They reveal that they left the settlement due to the fear of a second attack and in response to the delay in their new leader's return. As a result of the void in guidance after the attack, they fled and found Balthazar. He will (apart from panic about his wife internally) begin to make arrangements for the 25 settlers. He will reorganize the office and training area in the Black Cats headquarters so that they can act as temporary homes for the displaced settlers. A few of the Black Cats who live in Almund will also offer to provide lodging for those who can't fit into the headquarters (but there should be enough space in the HQ).

Brief summary of what you did: This thread covers Balthazar in the two days after the settlers of Haven arrive at the Black Cats headquarters. He has the headquarters rearranged to house the twenty five displaces people and this thread lays out the space a little better than the last. On the seventh he begins writing a letter to Kura but does not finish it and starts asking around about the kidnappings. He also visits the Merchant Guild HQ to check in. He discovers he is having anger issues hearing merchant needs in light of Haven's and leaves to help an inn keeper who can't afford repairs. He repairs the inn on the seventh and on the eighth, then holds anything meeting with the Black Cats captains. They devise a plan going forward to try and lift morale in the Black Cats headquarters among all of the people present, and Balthazar commits to investigating and finding the missing settlers.

Brief summary of what you plan to do in this thread: Balthazar is going to attempt to use his enchanted ring to track down one of the missing Haven settlers. He is hoping that they are all still together but nine days after the attack he will settle for finding anyone. He goes up onto the roof of the Black Cats headquarters to get a better view (with Rupturing he can tell exact distance as far as his eyes can see) and then attempts to activate the ring. If he does find a path to follow he will get Simula and fly to follow the path so far as it goes and remains in Scalvoris. If it goes further he'd return to the headquarters to replan. If there is no path and the ring does not work, he will divert his focus to trying to raise morale among the remaining settlers until he can find a better lead on the missing.

Brief summary of what you plan to do in this thread: Woe is asking the Iron Maiden some questions, and trying to build a rapport with her. He pitches his protection deal, in essence endorsing her for a Privateer status under the government of Scalvoris, pending the Albarech's approval. He brings her up to date on all the recent events of Scalvoris, from the time of the shadow beasts invasion, to the docks collapse, to the forging, to Ruin's Dawn. Finally, he introduces her to his dragonling.

He offers in exchange for privateer status, any favor that's within his power to grant, he also offers to initiate her into the Soul-Forged.
