"I'd appreciate a lesson tomorrow if you have the time. I don't have many plans other than a little exploration and resource gathering." Both people who could keep him informed when he left and materials he could send back to Scalvoris to study in greater detail later. "I'd gladly push that back to spend a little more time practicing with you... just don't throw another ether bolt at me. I think that is becoming a habit." It was a strange feeling every time and while Balthazar didn't really think Victor would, he found humor in pointing it out before taking a few tentative steps towards the stone horse. His legs worked and while his muscles were sore, he didn't have any sort of limp.
"I do. I practiced with land, sea, and air mounts in Scalvoris while training to join the Elements." Balthazar set a hand on the stone horse when he reached it and his fingers drummed against the surface. Stone, yes, but it felt different. When Victor mentioned the Echo Scrolls, Balthazar's head perked up and he nodded to the Warlock. "I would be up for that. It'll be good to have an easy way to communicate, even just across Melrath." It would certainly be easier to organize training with the Echo Scrolls to communicate. Then Victor thanked him and Balthazar nodded in return. "Thank you for sharing this magic with me." But he didn't point out that he didn't realize it was getting colder. "I'm sure I'll think of something to ask along the way but I'm just going over what we've talked about already in my head. Processing." Balthazar replied when Victor offered to answer any other questions Balthazar had. The mage took a deep breath and hoisted himself up onto the stone horse to prepare for the return journey.
