Metaphors were mostly lost on Niv, who listened intently as Faith described having visions of Padraig and how their souls would merge into one. As lovely as Faith made it sound, the idea that both of Niv’s friends would merge into one single person didn’t sound very appealing. How much of their being would be left after the ritual was complete? Would this new person get along with Niv or would they be too superior of mind to enjoy her company? Questions spilled around in Niv’s head like a tornado and made the tiny Tunawa dizzy.

“So…you and Padraig will still be deh same after dis ritual” Niv chimed in hesitantly after Faith’s explanation. “It does sound wonderful but I don’t want you and Padraig to change after dis ritual, I like you two deh way you are.” There was a slight tinge of concern in her voice that the tunwa tried to conceil.

“Oh dats good.” Niv breathed a sigh of relief after faith made things a little more clear. “I got confused.”

“You should probably go back to your tribe soon.” It had been a while since faith left her Restaurant and Niv didn’t want to keep her tribe of workers without their leader, “It was Nice talking to you again and I look forward to seeing dis dress when your done and going to your wedding.” Niv smiled and bowed as she sit on her shoulder.

It more than probably served her right, Faith considered by the very fact that she couldn't tell Padraig those things she had just told Niv, that the words were so filled with emotion that, when she was looking at him, if she spoke them she would just cry. The simple truth that, just being with him or even just thinking about him filled her so much that she couldn't speak the words and yet? When she told the little tunawa, Niv looked a little concerned. The nature of that concern became quickly apparent as Niv asked her question and Faith answered with an earnest expression. "Oh, yes, we'll be exactly the same." In a very real sense it was like talking to a child when speaking to Niv, a child who didn't really live in the same world as anyone else or think in the same way. Which was more than fine, it was positively adorable and frankly more people in the world could do with Niv's attitude.

She was right, though, it was time that Faith made her way back to the restaurant and got on with her trial. She nodded her head. "It's been lovely to spend time with you, Niv. Thank you." Faith started to stand to leave and then frowned a little. "Really." Her voice was serious and her expression earnest. "Thank you. For being my friend. For being Padraig's friend and for being our friend together. We are very blessed to know you."

Then, with a promise that she'd be in touch again before the wedding to drop off the dress, Faith bade her friend good trial and went back to work where, in typical Faith fashion she started working on the bug menu.Although, she decided to call it the 'tunawa menu' after a few trill of consideration.
