Enrick watched Ellen more as she seemed apprehensive, either that or more perplexed by what she had to tell. Even Enrick wasn't sure what to make out of what she had to say. To hear the expression of the word Ose-bori, which was the name for their familiars, caused the fisherman to crane his head speculatively. They were... sharing a path together? Were they destined to meet then? Just as they had now?
Did this mean they shared the same familiar? Was that possible? Nothing was certain for Enrick anymore, he didn't understand any of this as it was beyond him. All of it! The spirit seemed to remain silent though it's presence merely encouraged them, as Ellen seemed to bring up the point that made this even more unusual. They were total strangers. They never met each other before in their lives, but here they were now tied to one another? When she asked the important question which reflected in her journey for the familiar, Enrick could only look at her hard with silver eyes as even he did not know.
"Oi wish Oi knew..." He admitted with a shrug as way of showing even he had little grasp over anything. Admittedly finding one person sounded more profound, compared to finding some spiritual entity that was the other half of your soul. Both of course were ideas far more difficult to commit to action though, as the world of Idalos was just too big of place to search for one simple thing; be they person or familiar. He looked from Ellen'wyn to the spirit, his eyes curious as they narrowed just a little on the entity. Water. Enrick lived his whole life surrounding it, so did that mean spirits like this one surround him also? He looked back to Ellen expecting to hear more from her, but just as she started to speak something happened. Not only was her own voice cut off, but her presence was no longer there with him as she was before. It was one of those moments where you'd blink, and find whatever apparition you stared at vanished; leaving behind no trace whatsoever.
But he remembered seeing her! Where could she have gone now?! "Miss?" He looked from where she was over to the Spirit, only surprise to find the river was normal once more. Nothing floated there to coax the body of water to cloak it, nothing altered it's constant flow throughout the world around him. Enrick turned to look over his shoulder lost and alone now, silver eyes brightened to orange as he listened to the sound of the wood. "Miss?!" He called out as something shook the leaves of the trees, the flap of wings heard as the creature he scared off flew in surprise. Enrick took a step back and moved to take another, however his foot missed the ridge of the river bank and caused him to fall.
The fisherman jolted within his cocooned blanket he had wrapped around, his eyes shot wide open as he gasped from the surprise he felt. He remembered dreaming of a forest, and the sound in which he was meant to chase to discover his familiar. What was it again? Damn he couldn't remember the name... And that woman? Even now the memory of her appearance felt far and vague, as though the detail of the memory blurred with each passing moment.
Was it really just a dream to him? Or was it another attempt at meeting his familiar? He wouldn't be able to figure out now, though he laid in his hammock unbothered; the dream would be a thought tucked farther away in his mind. He would have laid there for the rest of the night, wondering what it all meant, until drowsiness slowly took him again and he eventually went back to sleep.
Only this time it would be lighter in comparison.
