Origins
Trevor was born as a result of a Sev'ryn woman sold into slavery within the Northern reaches of Idalos, his father unnamed and unknown save for the one curse that passed onto the child. Fire. Long after his mother escaped her chains and fled south towards the territories of Ne'haer, she quickly discovered his heritage when Trevor was very young.
Childhood
Over time he would learn to struggle with these episodes of flame, until later in his childhood years he unintentionally set fire to another home. Not only would this fire be the last straw that cast him out of Cycres, but it would also be the same fire that orphaned him at the same time. Driven out by the people of Cycres, Trevor was forced to flee into the wilderness... and sooner or later die.
However he did not.
A quiet traveler who had seen the trouble unfold had watched this child, curious to see what in Idalos deemed him such a monster. Sure enough when he found Trevor lost and alone, the boy looked to starved and near Vri's embrace not long after; yet he could still be saved. Thus the man who had watched him took Trevor in, and brought the child with him to the city of Lysoria soon afterwards. In time as the boy regained his health he became well acquainted with his savior, the man who fast became his mentor and showed him that his internal flame could be controlled. He learned the practice of meditation as well as physical and mental fortitude, and quickly became a scholarly student under the traveler's wing. That man was named Phelix Reverrik, one of several court mages for the city of Lysoria.
Adolescence
Phelix took in Trevor with ample caution due to the nature of the boy's Aukarian heritage, but overtime learned just how close to human Trevor really was. As the boy grew with private education provided by the man, Trevor quickly took interest in the beauty of art and expression. Overtime he became an astute student to Phelix and in turn, discovered the nature of magic and it's mysticism in nature. Fascinated with it his study remained scholarly innocent at first, but the more he learned of magic and it's practices the more Trevor wanted to partake. Thus after much training and discipline with the man, Trevor came to undergo his first initiation from Phelix once deemed ready. It had been a test of fire as it would have before, only Trevor had to learn to befriend the flame instead of shutting it out.
Transition
Unwavering but also unsure of his capabilities Trevor accepted the test, and while the flames within him felt intense... they did not burn. With the Defiance Spark used to coax the flames; Trevor faced the fears of his internal fire, and in turn named the flames his friend. This had only been just the beginning of his career in magic, as the initiation not only helped him befriend his natural element; but opened his mind to a whole new world of infinite possibility. Defiance had given a new meaning of significance to life and nature; as Trevor could hear the wind speak to him through the trees, the water played with him when he visited the lake.
Trevor quickly sought out ways to improve his new bond with the elements, and so he diligently studied the practice of Defiance further. Hoping to build upon his understanding of the magic and it's nature, while his mentor Phelix also introduced him to more than just magic. As the Arcs started to progress a little more rapidly, Trevor eventually grew to become a court mage involved with the political intrigue of Lysoria. Yet fate would determine his path take him elsewhere in life...
Adulthood
As Trevor grew into his earlier adult years he became more involved in the politics of Lysoria, the intrigue and subterfuge involved hardly fitted his style however. By this point in his life he had grown quite contemplative of things, deeply considerate of the world and it's denizens due to the teachings of Phelix. Yet there came a point where the mage couldn't stand to watch his country men side with Ironridge, and when he stood to declare this publicly all that watched shunned him then. All but Phelix were quick to discredit him and even demand him cast out, because he seemed to sympathize with enemies of Lysoria.
Yet things only got worse from there. Shortly after he had been denounced by the people of Lysoria and stripped of his political ranking, patriots to the city were apt to take matters into their own hands. Execution. For the slander of Lysoria and betrayal to the court. With little choice left Phelix gave Trevor the means to escape, a final parting gift that would cement their relationship as master and apprentice. The power of Rupturing. With this Spark inherited Trevor had the means to escape Lysoria's wrath, though not unscathed, as they proceeded to hunt him down shortly after his escape. Torn away from all that he loved Trevor put as much distance as he could between him and the only place he called home.
