Welcome to the great city of Ne'haer! Constructed from white stone and decorative marble, Ne'haer is known for its religious diversity, wisdom, and tolerance. Governed by a council of six, each ensures the safety, prosperity, and peace within the city. However, it is not so easily achieved. For players new and old alike, here is the place to come for any Out of Character information during your time roleplaying here in Ne'haer.
Please, read this thread carefully. This is an incredibly important resource and, as all Prophets will tell you for any city, reading these posts will give you the best insight into the city that you could ask for. Ignorance as an excuse doesn't really fly on this site, especially when you have all the information right at your fingertips, so please read this before beginning your roleplay within the city, and refer to it should you ever have any niggling questions. If there is something you believe is missing, feel free to fling a local Prophet a PM, as we are constantly updating the information available to players!

All Narrators, Versifiers, Minstrels and Poets are to be respected regardless of whether they are your own local Prophet or not. Every one of them works hard for Standing Trials, so please show them the proper respect for all their hard work. In my experience, this lack of respect often manifests as verbal abuse, and occurs when a player doesn't like what the member of staff has said. I would remind you all that we are volunteers, and we are human, and we have feelings. But most importantly, we are not here to... cramp your style. So don't cramp ours.
2. Respect Each Other.
If I have to explain this one to you... then you really shouldn't be here. However I will remind all players that IC actions do not - and should not - reflect OOC feelings. If an issue does arise, please bring it to a Prophet, who will deal with it appropriately.
3. Read the information available.
If you want to role-play a character in this setting, we expect you to know WHAT setting you're playing in. If we find you playing out a thread with something that doesn't mesh with the city, we will post an intervention explaining what the problem is and will later delete the thread. If you can't be bothered to read the readily available information (both IC and OOC), then this city - and actually this whole site - isn't for you.
4. Ask Questions.
The only stupid question is an unasked one. And what I mean by that is that you'll look like less of a fool if you send us a quick PM and get an answer, rather than have a Prophet have to publicly intervene. You and the Prophets will both be happier people. Use common sense, and come to us for help. It's what we're here for.
5. Last but not Least
Above all, have fun!

It is encouraged that players develop for the city of Ne'haer. Standing Trials provides limited red tape so that players can create the world along side the staff for a better, more enjoyable experience. There are sections throughout the city where players can post development ideas globally as well as a place in Ne'haer where people may develop for the city. There are, however, rules for development, though they aren't so restricting.
Expect your developed piece to be reviewed once you submit it to the thread. We do not tear people down here when it comes to their creations, but we must check that those creations align with the genre of the game and the world.
If you have a question about whether something would fit into the city or not, don't be afraid to PM the prophets. We are always here to help.
There are templates provide for you to use. You may use your own if you'd like.

All players are required to specify some type of job or profession. There are few professions that don't generate income. In that regard, players may turn to the Bounty Board in search of odd jobs they can make a coin or two off of. For this, players are not required to submit threads to the Seasonal Income topic for their coin. It is automatically given upon completion/review of the thread.
However, if you wish to have a profession that generates income, please submit your request to the Jobs, Seasonal Payout, Cyclical Expenses. There are templates provided in that topic that you may choose from when requesting certain things.
In the Knowledge Base, there are professions for you to choose from. You may post a request for a job either in the Jobs, Seasonal Payout, Cyclical Expenses topic or in my Office. If you take on a second job, you must post in that topic. If you are seeking payout for job threads, you must post in that topic.
