While I don't put a tremendous amount of stock in the interpretation of prophecy, one cannot deny that the Mountains should not have been laid neglected to scouting for so long. We should see what we can find of these rumours of tribes, and other strange things. Besides, it might be interesting to see what has become to Ornthrus in the aftermath. It stands to reason that the two in Scalvoris currently who have scaled it before, should be the ones now to discover what else might lie in store there.

As you are probably well aware, pirates attacked across Scalvoris, and Egilrun was not spared from their incursion. We have several of their number in custody, and have been diligently interrogating them, trying to find as much information about their activities and purpose as possible. It seems like they are disconnected in a way, not acting in coordination with the others. But one cannot be too certain. I intend to question them until no stone is left unturned.

As for Almund, I have a request. A friend of mine runs The Bones in Almund. If you could pay them a visit sometime in the next few trials, I would very much appreciate if you could confirm that no harm has come to them.

Apart from that, if there's anything I can do to shore up the efforts for recovery in Almund, Egilrun is at its service.

I have moved my command to Scalvoris Town for the time being, as its centralized location makes for quicker co-ordination. A meeting to discuss the repairs investigation would serve us both well. As far as the ships, I have sent word to Almund that you be allowed to examine the ships before they salvaged for building materials. I can only give you a trial for it, once you return to Almund, unless you find something significant, owing to the need to repair Almund. I would admittedly find it more likely that it's an artifact on the ships that interferred with your magic rather than the ships itself, but I don't discount the latter possibility. Please report any findings as soon as you can.

Dear Mr Black,

Kura has asked me to be the Militant on a temporary basis. I am writing to ask your help.

1. I am planning on getting as much air defence and intelligence gathering as we can. Is there any help that the Black Cats can be here? Obviously, the Elements will be doing the majority of it, but I want to make sure that we have maximum coverage of the islands.

2. Could you please let me know all of the information you have gathered already? I want to make sure that the Elements are working to their maximum efficiency. I'd appreciate being kept informed throughout the coming days, also.

3. I am setting up an evacuation opportunity for Scalvoris citizens. If you know of anyone who needs or wants this, please do encourage them that they will be taken to a safe place in Rharne.

4. I believe that there may be worth in investigating both Slags Deep and the Vault. I have also written to Woe Morandi and would appreciate it if you consider possibly working with him in this endeavour.

5. I am keen to ensure that we work together. Please get in touch if there is any way that I can help.
