Sovereign Nation of
Iulure
Welcome to the Iulure Isles.
There are many factions within Iulure that effect the daily life of its people. Joining a Faction is an excellent way for a PC to interact with the nation in a way that is unique. Or join them to help push them in a different direction.
Nobility
The old houses that stretched back to the original unification of the islands. Everyone claims a connection to all of these great families but only the core line that passes the headship of the family is considered nobility. Like the Sovereign the next head of the family isn’t chosen based on birth order but on ability. So any descendant of the current head could inherit. Though it isn’t unknown for a niece or nephew to inherit. There are a number of houses large and small that influence the culture of Iulure.
Guilds
The guilds of Iulure are also called houses but focus on specific area of production.
The Cults
The Cults are the organization dedicated to a Induk or a Dragon. They each have their own hierarchy. Most of their influence comes from how many followers the dragon they are a cult of have. It is possible to be in a couple different cults based upon belief, but generally you are limited then on the rank you can obtain in one. Given the dragons worldwide effect maybe the cults will push beyond the bounds of the Shields.
Armed Forces
There are only two officially recognized armed forces within Iulure. All combat is taught within these groups, through each allow for specializations in skills.
