Thread: At A Rate Of Knots
Summary: Darius, Astra, and Elisabeth visit Almund in an attempt to track down the Pirate Lord Liathen, but things don't go quite to plan. I'm honestly not sure if this belongs in here, as it feels more 'personal' than 'settlement', although trying to proactively protect himself from the wrath of a Pirate Lord might have the added benefit of protecting Hopetoun, too.
Need Being Met: Safety.

Summary: A snowstorm hits while Faith Augustin is in town, and the settlers rally to protect their crops, gather belongings, and move to the safety of the Hopetoun Hole.

	Okay, so this one hits directly on the food issue for Physical need 1, and generally for safety need 3 imo. I don't see how it meets any of the belonging needs however, in fact it seems to cut against need 1, as the people of Hopetoun need a mayor or council so they can begin to stand on their own without a great leader like Faith or Darius. So 5% to Physical and 2% to Safety. Good job!

Summary: In the Hopetoun Hole while the snowfall continues, Darius and the settlers establish living quarters and other areas so the community can still function. He also delivers a rousing speech, offers wise counsel to worried settlers, and provides an opportunity for the Reclamation Trial tradition of launching vellum vessels to still happen, despite their inability to access the Hollow Sea directly.
Need Being Met: Physical, Belongingness.

This doesn't really hit on any of the goals for Physical or Belongingness. In fact it cuts against once more belongingness need 1. It doesn't appear anyone steps up among the settler NPCs to rise to the occasion as a mayor or councilor who can stand in Darius' stead should he be indisposed. They become more dependent on Darius as a result. However this does fill a need for safety need 2, so I'm rolling up a new Safety need for you now and putting that one in Completed Needs. 5% Safety. Updating your Profile now.

Summary: Oram visits Hopetoun to establish a Ranger outpost. He, Darius, and Vega end up ridding the settlement of cursed marble shards that are causing problems for some of the farmers.
