Pirate NPC for Sweetsong. Part of the Pirate King's crew. I've underspent on his skills on purpose.

Brief Sketch: He stands around half a meter tall, and very very thin of body, albeit bent of back.

Saved from slavery by the Pirate King and subsequently pressed into service, Ọnïšẹ owes much to the Pirate King, and has given back by becoming his cupbearer of sorts. He taste-tests and handles all of the brews that flow from the Pirate King's hand and through his lips. A connoiseur of all the finest brews across Idalos, he knows a trick or two when it comes to making some cracking teas too.

He enjoys a good gossip, and shares information with his fellow crewmates (and now the settlement of Sweetsong), usually over a nice drink.

He's delighted to find a settlement of Tunawa around. Although he's not the sweetest tunawa, a bit rough around the edges and salty like his chosen company, he is amiable enough if you get him drinking a good brew.

      Include the resource in their Primary Resources section of the settlement profile: Yellow Dragon Tree (see settlement effects, but it'll need to take time to grow.

Brief description of thread: He hunts and catches a Emperor Bat in a location he and Kisaik found in a previouse thread. He also susses out the cave entrances and makes a map, which he shares with the hunters back at the settlement so that they can add the grounds to their hunting patterns.

When standing at his full height, Winston towers a full 1 foot and one blueberry tall. A fact he will happily demonstrate before flicking said blue orb into the air with his nose and then eating it with a snappy grin.

His eyes are dark and sharp, ringed by dark brown fur upon the bright white fur that sets off across the rest of his face.

Winston usually carries the following on his person:

Discovered copper ore and iron pyrite. However before they can be considered primary resources, you'll have to instruct more of the settlers on how to collect it. Basically just having Dandelion leading them in the collection or instructing them (using what he learned from Hazel), rather than the other way around. He doesn't have to be fully hands on, but it does need to be shown that the settlers are learning to recover the resources themselves.

. They produce a plan and Winston teaches them all a little of what he knows about the various things that are working on.

  • The player completes an action that proves they are trustworthy to the settlers: Winston teaches settlers and establishes a craft team = +1% Order per thread
  • NPC Cho +2 Blacksmith XP
  • NPC Huw +2 Encocelling XP
  • NPC Tovan +2 Alchemy XP
  • NPC Canija +2 Alchemy XP
  • The player completes an action that would lead to a new cultural quirk, supernatural effect or other notable change to daily life, or aquires a grandmaster level skill or supernatural ability that would affect the day-to-day lives of their settlers. (Note: This must be a skill, capstone or magical ability that would enable the player to be a better leader, such as leadership or intelligence. Skills that improve the player but not their settlers, such as strength or smithing, should not be applied for unless they provide a capstone relevant to the settlement. When applying for this reward the player should suggest what effect they believe would be appropriate.)

    New Effect: Sweetsong has a well formed group of crafters capable of building a specific list of magical items. If given the requisite raw materials, any settler of Sweetsong can exchange these raw materials for any of the corresponding items from the list, I.e. a PC may remove the raw materials from their CS in exchange for the target item, at no WP cost.

    This team can currently produce the following inventions:
    • (Pair of) Holo-com
      ~ Requires:
      • 2 Class 1 Miragestone Wells
      • 1 Class 2 Chi Well
      • Any metal can be used with this

The New Effect, I'm very wary of allowing this at no WP cost and virtually unlimited output. Wells are very rare, rare rare rare. It's unlikely you'll be mass producing these with any regularity. And I do think there should be an associated wealth cost for the PC to gain the item. WIth that in mind I"ve amended it to the following:

Magic Factorium: Sweetsong has a well formed group of crafters capable of building a specific list of magical items. If given the requisite raw materials, any settler of Sweetsong can exchange these raw materials for any of the corresponding items from the list, I.e. a PC may remove the raw materials from their CS in exchange for the target item, at an appropriate WP cost associated with the skill used to create the item, and the materials used. An invention of this kind can only be produced once in a cycle. The wealth cost of these inventions is in line with tool kits crafted of appropriate quality. See the Shoppe for Details.
