Illuminations:
Fine Art, Illuminated Manuscripts & Book Repair

Situated in Egilrun, Illuminations is part gallery, part book shop. The walls are filled with examples of artistic pieces, created by the owner Perdita Westcott. She draws and paints portraits and landscapes and there are examples of art focusing on a single, tiny detail as well as large vistas. In terms of portraiture, there are many examples of people and animals.

On the left-hand side of the shop there is the book section; each piece is hand made by Perdita with a focused attention to detail. Books are bound carefully and illustrated throughout with calligraphy and elegant lettering as standard. There are books of history, story books and other tomes.

Off the shelf there are blank books, written books and artwork for sale - there are also bespoke services for art and book making.
