  The Temple
  Jack's entire life was spent in service to the Glass Temple of Scalvoris Town, assisting the laymen with their chores. This place is a bitter haunt, one filled with ponderance and suffering. It reminds him of all the ways his life had been wasted away, and he spends much of his time debating melancholy topics here with those few who would listen. When his emotions are fully awry, Jack tends to favor being anywhere but here, as he fears the monks might excise him.
  
  The Boy - Ren Prescott
  An enigma for Jack, the boy is an Anchor he can only theorize about. Thirteen Arcs of age, and living within a loving family in Raelia, a city he'd never visited, it took Jack a very long span of time to feel the presence of this Anchor and begin to explore them. The boy's name is Ren Prescott, and unbeknownst to Jack, they share lineage through his father whom Jack had never properly reconciled with. As Jack's father had long since passed, the grandson of Harvald Salt-Tongue is his only blood relative, and so his soul had unconsciously latched on to him. Still, Jack has not been able to prove this, but he has his theories which are roughly on track with the truth.
  
  Blackened Prayer Beads
  Worn and smudged, these once vibrantly painted prayer beads had long faded from decades of grasping. When they broke, Jack restrung them. Before he died, Jack blackened every symbol with ink to represent his frustration. Jack considers this Anchor fragile, and prefers it to be kept by the shy and the demure--those who shun adventure and peril.
  
  The Spiral of Life (Heirloom)
  A gift from his father, this is an ornate, silver triskelion of Melrathi design. The spiraling metal meets at the center, where a jade button carved in an unknown script rests, faded with time. Laced with a silver chain, this is the unassuming artifact Jack allows others to procure. It represents the spirits of life, or so his father told him. It was offered with a promise that they would one day reunite, but his father never came back.

Jack resides primarily within Scalvoris Town at the Glass Temple, but lives wherever his Anchors are. His furthest Anchor, a boy named Ren Prescott, lives within Melrath.

Appearance: Short in stature and very lightweight, Ren is a pixie-cut brown-haired, green-eyed boy who dons an earthy-green cloak.
Personality: Slightly full of himself, intelligent, and heroic to a fault. Loves stories, but only those pertaining to Melrath. Magic and mystery stimulate Ren to no end.
Relationship to PC: Anchor, Blood Relative (Step-Nephew)

While not nobility per se, Ren was born to a wealthy family of woodworkers and shipwrights. His father nurtured Ren's adventurous spirit, and entertained any and all of his interests, helping the boy to find his path in life. Currently, Ren resides within Raelia, where he is studying the path of an Aesir Shaman as an Adept. To avoid the droll of an academic lifestyle, Ren takes every chance he gets to tag along with other Aesir on their travels, bugging them on such topics as magery and jotting notes to learn from. Jack is friends with Ren, who sees his friendship with a ghost as a sign of his own skills blossoming, fully unaware as to why he is Jack's Anchor. Jack knows, but hasn't told him, and probably won't for a long time to come: Ren's grandfather was Jack's father.
