The Ashwoods
The Ashwoods, created by the volcanic eruption of Faldrass in Ashan 720, is located on the northern coast of Faldrass, stretching from the southern base of the Serendity Garden to the start of the badlands. Since the eruption, life has slowly begun returning to the area.

Habitat: Kazan Fowl live and travel in 'gobbles' or packs. They dwell across Faldrass, thriving on the tender young plant material of the regrowing forest. Although they spend most of their time on the ground during the trial, they sleep in trees at night, preferring Phoenix Wood. Kazan Fowl cannot see well in the dark. Sleeping in trees provides protection from predators that roam and can see at night. They fly up to roost at dusk, and fly down at dawn to begin their daily rituals.
Lifespan and Development: Females lay 4 to 17 eggs, and will incubate them for a month. The newly hatched Kazans, or 'Zanies' leave the nest within 12 to 24 hours in order to feed. They stay with their mother for a few months after they are born, until they venture out on their own. The lifespan of a Kazan is 3 to 4 years. A full-grown male Kazan will measure up to 4 feet long and may weigh up to 30 pounds.
Diet: Kazans are omnivores, grazing mostly on tender young plant material and insects.
Temperament: Like many birds, Kazans are social creatures. About six months after hatching, the males from the same brood break away and form a sibling group that generally persists for life. Like any other group of siblings, they're fiercely loyal to each other and extremely hostile to outsiders.
Abilities:They are relatively fast and can run at speeds of up to 20 miles per hour. Kazans are also short-distance fliers when they need to scramble, and can reach speeds of up to 55 miles per hour.
Weaknesses: Hunted by large predators

Habitat: Red Cervus like open woodlands and they avoid dense forests. Found throughout Scalvoris.
Lifespan and Development: Red Cervus typically live 10-13 years if left to age naturally. They are born in litters of one or rarely two. The gestation period is 240 to 262 trials, and the offspring weigh about 30lbs. After fourteen trials, calves are able to join the herd and are fully weaned after two seasons. The offspring will remain with their mothers for almost one full arc, leaving around the time the next arc's offspring are produced
Diet: Red Cervus are browsers, eating grasses and tender growth in summer. In winter, woody growth. They particularly like moss and wild mushrooms.
Temperament: Skittish, Red Cervus cling to herd for protection and safety.
Abilities: N/A - One of the largest deer species known in Idalos
Weaknesses: Hunted for their meat and hides

Phoenix Wood
Phoenix Wood

Short Description Fast, hardy growing tree, Phoenix Wood is fire resistant, as is its bark. Found on Faldrass, it is one of a few species of tree that seems to have survived the eruption. However, Phoenix Wood makes up approximately 50% of the Ashwoods, making it valuable. As the tree grows, its outer bark delicately peels to reveal the wood, which starts out in pastel green and deepens into orange, red, pastel blue, and sunset pink hues. Found Faldrass
