Well of Fortuna
There is a forgotten well in Sweet Wine woods, once used for its fresh and tempting drink now overgrown and unused, although those who stumble close enough may hear the sound of haunting song rising from its recces. If, however, one were to tear away the vines and brambles and listened very closely, they may hear soft voices and the sound of something - or someone - lurking within the darkness below.
Climbing down the well, an adventurer may be surprised to find a large pool of water, cool and refreshing but never frozen with the tiniest of silver fish darting at the depth of this curiosity and yet otherwise the body of water appears stagnant. Signs of life can be found here, as well as death. Upon the north west patch of land only accessed by swimming across the pool (or flying. See photo: left) is a skeleton wearing the garb of a pirate, clutching in his hand a blackened scabbard. The sword, however, is strangely missing.
Once a hiding place for smugglers, Fortuna's Well was a grand secret, its hallways and rooms carved out from the soil, the pool of water having once tunneled into the Eastern river and then beyond. In a great tragedy, the river passage collapsed and only the tiniest slivers of water (and fish) now trickle through. All else has been left, trapped inside forever.
