  • Business Location: Melrath region, city varies due to wagon/stall based shop
  • Business Description: Compass and Design Mapping is a mobile business operation based out of a multi-purpose wagon. The wagon is pulled by a single horse and is used as a means of transportation as well as a stall for customers. The wagon has four large wheels, simple walls with a roof over the main body, and a cloth overhang that is used when acting as a market stall. Framed maps are mounted on the outside of the wagon when conducting sales, while the rest of the merchandise is stored in drawers inside the wagon. The wagon has an overall rustic look, but bold black and white branding makes it stand out.
    
    The Compass and Design Mapping wagon makes regular stops at Melrath towns including: Raelia, Alivilda, Fensalir, Noatun, and occasionally Vorkund. Travel is generally restricted in Zi'da and Cylus and the wagon usually returns to Alivilda. Generally, special events such as market days or festivals will have a higher likelihood of the wagon being present in a town. The wagon will be available on a first come first served basis, for the date and town of choice. If other PCs have made purchases, please respect the Melrath travel times by 'mount', or contact the player regarding the location of the Compass and Design wagon.
  • Number of Employees: 2 NPCs. Colin Wacara's primary duty is as a sales clerk when Brent is away charting new lands. Colin also assists in copying already completed maps. Titrus is a contract sellsword who provides protection on particularly dangerous trips. He is employed on a 'per expedition' basis and also gets contracts with other employers.

Other information: Colin is a young bright entrepreneur looking to make a name for himself. He grew up in Alivilda and plans to one day make it big in Raelia. He enjoys bartering and haggling, and for the time being he is employed by Brent on the condition that he learns some of the trade. Colin enjoys traveling the wilds and takes pride in leading the Compass and Design wagon from town to town. In addition to being the key sales clerk, he helps create copies of completed maps. He's a slender adolescent with a pretty face and is always interested in learning something new.

Other information: Titrus is a tall and muscular man with a thick mane of brown hair. He wears a combination of leather and steel armour and keeps a longsword at his waist. He has a gruff no-nonsense attitude and only sells his services for coin up front. He's not much of a talker, but he's alert and ready at any sign of danger. Titrus is employed by Compass and Design Mapping on a per contract basis for particularly dangerous mapping expeditions. Occasionally he may be present at the wagon stall if the town is going through some rough times with criminal activity or other dangers, but usually he sees this as beneath him.
