Hunter is a muscular man, a man that has lived through much, yet shows little. His body is in tune with the harsh conditions of the Gawyne region, and it is only one of the tells of how his childhood went. He is perfectly in shape, keeping himself at peak physical condition and health, making him nearly disease-proof.
His face appears as if it was chiselled from stone, each part of it perfectly merging with the one before it. His hair flows down to his neck in waves such as those of the sea, of which his eyes remind most who look into them. They are a deep blue colour and are found on the perfect margin between his forehead and his long nose. The nose reaches down to the stubble that is always found on Hunter’s face, that covers the entirety of the area above, below and to the side of his thin lips.
As the heir to the duchy, Hunter dresses appropriately for his title, always wearing some form of suit, and in worse conditions, a long trench coat or a fur-lined cloak. With his clothing, the man prefers colours that do not strike out in a crowd, such as grey, white and black, and will usually wear an outfit of only one of those colours to appear more professional.

Personality
Be alone, that is the secret of invention. Be alone, that is when ideas are born.
"The mind is the strongest weapon"
Hunter is intelligent, beyond any normal mortal's intelligence. He is a critical, and strategic thinker and analyses each situation he finds himself in carefully and with endless thoughts. This makes him often appear distant and cold towards people he recently met, when in reality he simply prefers to assess the playing field that is his life. He is also the man with the plan, constantly planning ahead of time and adjusting his plans to overcome the obstacles that fate puts in his way.
“Knowledge is power, ignorance is bliss”
Hunter, like a true Gawyne, values knowledge over everything else in life, and would be willing to do anything in order to obtain omniscience, or some form of it. He is curious and seeks to know as much as he possibly can. Even though knowledge is the main focus of his entire life, and the main goal of it is gaining more, Hunter doesn’t view unintelligent or stupid people as stupid, or unintelligent, compared to him. He views them as happy individuals, for they do not have to deal with the stress and agony in finding more and more knowledge that he, and the intelligent people do.
“Show no emotions. Feel no pain.”
Hunter has learned through his philosophical pursuits that emotions of any kind can, and always will cause more harm than good for any person. This is why he refuses to listen to the emotional side of his brain and ignores all kinds of emotions that would usually spark him. He finds peace in having no regret for anything he’s done, no guilt for any of his mistakes, and finds a lack of strings in having no love towards the people he is supposedly so close to, such as his family. This shouldn’t be confused with an individual having no emotions, as Hunter does, in fact, feel emotions from time to time, he just consciously chooses not to react to them or show them off to the world in any way.
“Power does not corrupt, fear corrupts.”
Hunter has met several mages in his lifetime, and never decided to turn any of them in for unlawful use of magic, mostly due to his views on the subject. He does not care about the potential corruption magic may come alongside with, because magic offers its users knowledge and power that no other being can have. This knowledge and power is why he reveres the Immortals so much, and why he respects their religion in Idalos, instead of Rynlism, like any other member of his family. He believes that if one has the knowledge, and the power that the Immortals possess, he has the right to call himself a god of the world like they are doing.

History
People call me a perfectionist, but I'm not. I'm a rightist. I do something until it's right
Childhood
Hunter is the firstborn son of Baron and Baroness Fredrick and Jade Gawyne, and being who he is had both benefits and flaws to his early childhood. He was given everything he wanted within Fort Gawyne, no matter how difficult it was to obtain it, as long as he held up his end of his father's bargain. As long as Hunter behaved and studied like a good little lord he would receive whichever toys he wanted, and would learn about any topic he desired to know of. His education began at his age of four, when his father started hiring private tutors for all kinds of topics that the little lord might have. However, even though he followed whichever class his father put him into, there was always a special love for mathematics in Hunter's heart.
At his young age, Hunter adored his family, both his parents and brothers and sisters, Ivy in particular. He was as close to them as it was humanly possible to be, and would spend almost all of his free time playing with his younger brother, and sometimes sisters as well. He viewed his father as a role model, someone he looked up to greatly and wished to become more like. His mother, on the other hand, was everything he could ever ask for, she was there for him whenever the struggle of being a firstborn son and heir was too much to handle, and she was there for him whenever he had issues with dealing with his own intelligent mind.
Teenage
The older he grew, the more distant Hunter became due to his brain not being well adjusted to the socially constructed normality. However, this did not stop him from being close with his brothers and sisters, for whom he still greatly cared, but his mother and he fell apart at his age of 16. His father, however, was now an even bigger role model for the teenager, seeing how he was able to personally manage having many children and owning a whole barony. Hunter's education went extremely well, and he finished normal schooling with grades better than anyone in his class, with constant private tutoring from countless experts in many fields. He appeared the perfect son to his father, being politically gifted and intelligent, with only 17, he was capable of helping run the Barony in the north.
At the age of 18, however, everything changed when Ivy ran away. When it was first discovered she was gone, anger overcame the teenage Hunter and his brain went into overclock working on finding her, on locating where a 12-year-old girl could've disappeared to. But, since she wasn't found, and his work led to nothing, the anger had to flow in a different direction. And so it flew, right towards his parents. Hunter shouted day and night that they were to blame for what had happened with Ivy, and after she was found, he swore that he would make them pay for what had happened to his sister. This oath, however, was broken once he found out what exactly happened to his sister, and a new oath was sworn. The man that did it would pay. He would be the one to suffer at the blade of Hunter Gawyne, and he would be the one to die at it.
It took Hunter two arcs to find the man who was responsible for what had happened to Ivy, and in those two arcs, he drew incredibly far away from both his brothers and sisters and his father, who was now the most hated figure in his life. "You should have protected her", were always the words to end any discussion or argument the heir and his father might have had, not just about Ivy, but about anything. After finding the criminal, however, Hunter took half the guard of Fort Gawyne into a wild goose chase, only to be evaded by the man once more. He would never track this criminal down again, and that had its consequences.
Young adulthood
From his 20th to his 23rd arc Hunter was in Nashaki as a diplomat for the King of Rynmere, focusing on improving the city's relations with the Kingdom, and securing whichever trade the merchants of Rynmere had in Nashaki. To the public, this diplomat job happened because Hunter desired more experience in politics, and thus had asked his father to be sent away for a certain period of time. In reality, however, this happened because of how far away emotionally the heir was to the Baron. Hunter had told his father he was leaving, and that he wasn't coming back, all because of what had happened with Ivy, and embarked on a journey to Nashaki as a Rynmerian diplomat.
In three years, however, it became apparent that being a diplomat wasn't Hunter's calling, and since he had cooled down from his anger towards his father, he decided to come back to his home in Gawyne. His relationship with his family, however, had suffered from the three years he was gone, and only one of his younger brothers was still a good friend, with all the others being distant strangers from another world. Ivy was, unfortunately, one of those strangers, and thus ended the years of brother-sister bonding they had.
Once home, Hunter took to his favorite subject, mathematics, in a more serious fashion, even going the distance to study within the University of Rynmere and acquire a Certificate in mathematics, with his diploma on the way. This certificate led to him becoming an architect for the region of Gawyne, which is what he currently does with himself.
