Quick Facts: Affects only the Biqaj race, no known cure, causes shattered rainbow looking iris

Origins: Unknown, been around for as long as Biqaj have

Races: Biqaj and half-blood Biqaj who inherit color changing eyes

Symptoms: A progressive disease with no known link in causes and comes in two stages:

Stage One

• Light sensitivity
• Headaches
• Everything/one is seen in multiple colors, giving everything/one a rainbow effect

Stage Two

• Severe light sensitivity
• Loss of depth perception
• Perceives everything only as the colors reflected in their eyes as their emotions change, so this can range from one color only to multiples at a time

While stage one symptoms can come suddenly, it can take arcs for people to reach stage two some may be lucky enough to never reach stage two but the unlucky ones can process so rapidly it can take only moons for it to progress to stage two.

Treatments: None, save for remedies for headaches and light sensitivity

Complications: Due to the sensitivity and loss of depth perception it is common for progressive loss of sight. In rare cases some Biqaj go blind or choose to wear eye masks from the constant strain of colors flashing as their emotions change.

In terms of seeing the constellations and navigation: as their eye sight degrades this too will fade, the color changing perspective can also throw off their ability to properly see the stars against the sky as well.
