The Sawbones Shack
On Felltree Road, there's a nondescript shack, tucked between the various warehouses. There's no sign indicating a business of any sort, and the windows are painted over from the inside. This is the Sawbones Shack, a cornerstone of Darbyton. It was built by The Doctor himself, when he arrived a few decades back.
The Shack is Darbyton's only medical service. There is no branch of the Order of the Adunih here, and all other doctors that have tried to start up in Darbyton, found that the locals don't bother. Everyone goes to the Sawbones Shack, to see the Doctor. The doctor rarely performs medical procedures in the Shack, and all that have been inside never speak a word of their experience, for to do so is to cut oneself off from medical treatment. It's the only rule of the Sawbones Shack. You never speak of what you see.
For standard treatments, the Doctor comes to a Darbytonian's home, or to the scene of the accident, wherever he's needed, usually summoned by a runner. The Doctor is on retainer with the Logging Consortium, and as such, treats all employees for any injury, condition, or illness, free of charge to the employee. Non-employees, the Doctor works out compensation with them after treatment is provided. He's very amicable and reasonable and takes payment in the form of money, bartering of goods, or services provided.
But for special 'clients', special meaning those he's treated and saved the lives of, he offers Closed Door services. These are the services he renders in the Sawbones Shack itself. It's these services that never get spoken of. And for good reason, for many would find these services... unsavory. This is why he only provides them to those that owe him their lives.
