That specific trial was a trial of celebration for many reason or at least that was how F'mos chose to spread the word of the famous new restaurant in Etzos. A different dish each trial by its proprietor, a man who has traveled all over Idalos for all it would offer- culinarily of course. Not that it was any true, just like the identity of its proprietor who stepped foot into the city over an arc ago but it did its job. Or maybe the reason there was the beginnings of a line being formed was because of the offer F'mos had for his grand opening. 'Free dessert after your meal!' with a stipulation that it would occur at a certain time. Unbeknownst to him, the chance element was probably one of the reasons why the offer got a lot more appealing other than it being free but still...The aukari had a lot of other things in play to attract his customers and, to get the most out of that first day experience which may very well determine the rest of the life of his business.
However that was not the only consideration he had to that trial. Even if he was able to get customers through that door, he needed to be able to keep them as well. Not to keep them in within his walls for as long as the store was opened for the trial, that went against his own business strategy for his own profit. It was to keep them coming to F'mos Ate Most in the future as one of their choices of eateries to frequent. Some choice dishes were prepared, a sampling of but the daily dishes which would be available in the restaurant. Along with them in the partially cleared out ground floor are some nick nacks F'mos was able to acquire during his travels, or so he claims. Would anyone actually be able to dispute that? Hopefully not.
But even if someone did, would that even matter? It might make for some entertainment to the rest of his visitors. Entertainment would be another thing F'mos had to be sure was ready which he looked over on the roof. There was the one thing he had prepared by himself in anticipation of the trial though the other thing he employed was nowhere to be found. He could only trust it was out there at work and would return to the restaurant on time. The space on the top was arranged by the increasingly anxious aukari and his assistants before he left it to the rest of them and returned to the ground floor.
As it turned out he was not the only one who was restless as the forming crowd in the front was getting a little rowdy, some asking about the food and others about desserts, if they were not the clueless who joined in after they found the energy and excitement which surrounded the new place; not that bad really for F'mos who really wanted as many customers he could get. It was their rowdiness which would be a problem as, there were some things he already had difficulty clearing just for the opening and he did not need the Black Guard around to shut him down on the first day.
Still even though it was close, the appointed time was not yet there. With only a few bits left and maybe some more just in case, the aukari told his waiting visitors, "settle down, we opening soon. Look around, remember this place so you know where you can be eatings when hungry. And enjoy.
I'll be back soon," before he went back through the front doors.
