Appearance
A handsome man, one who never seems to grow old his appearance young for centuries. His complexion is forever young and warm, the sun kissed skin not wrinkling or sagging. The immortality in his veins keeping his form at peak physical condition, his body the perfect specimen.
Elijah has his mother’s brownish hazel hair and seductive brown eyes. Like his mother he is attractive and many find themselves captivated by his appearance, women will stare as he walks by. From his father he gets his darker skin, tanned like many of his race and his curly salted hair that when at sea will be unkempt and natural, he also has a beard sometimes short shaved sometimes longer again depending on location and time. It can often be seen at different length depending on if he is coming back from a long time at sea or just about to head out. It could be around his shoulders or at his neck often with sun bleached highlights.
His appearance is often so much Biqaj that none expect him to be of mixed race. He has the pointed ears of his father and the silver blood too although it is more dull and does not glow in the night time. His body is well toned and lean but not heavy set, he is slim but clearly strong from working his boat. Standing around 6’1” he is tall and he weighs in at 170lbs. He has a red and black tribal tattoo on his right upper arm. He is often seen shirtless and in a hat and cargo shorts when at sea but on land he sports a jacket, shirt, trousers and shoes, often dressed to impress any ladies he might run into.

Elijah is a confused and conflicted man, his life is fuelled often by his hidden grief or his uncertainty about his heritage. He knows he is not just a normal Biqaj, it has become obvious to him now. However, he does not know where his true lineage comes from and for that reason cannot truly understand his importance in the world. He often feels lost and without a true purpose. Elijah uses his day job to make money and preoccupy himself as well as to honour what his father wanted for him. He knows his father would hate what he has become and part of him hates that and yet a large chunk of Elijah loves his life now. He feels free and alive, risking his life smuggling and spending long cosy nights with women from all over the region.
Life for him is simple and wild, he will be seen spending time with anyone who wishes his company. He does have commitment issues though, partially a product of his domain of treachery, yet also due to his lifestyle where he is moving around a lot and unlikely to settle. So women, work, drugs and alcohol is how he often passes his time, besides this he might sail when he wants to feel the ocean wind in his hair and the splash of the salt water from the waves. His Biqaj blood often influences when he feels he should move and travel, the wanderlust in him a strong influence on his travel patterns.
Still, even as he feels free and alive, he feels lost and empty too. He seeks the company of women to plug the holes, to make him feel something special and powerful. The passion he feels with women seems to fill the gaps in his purpose well. Alas, he still knows deep down it is not what he needs, it is not his purpose. Mortalborn Story: An honest and honourable man, Korim lived his life trying to do right by the woman he loved. This woman was not Elijah’s mother but instead a wild and fun loving Biqaj woman, Kesel, he had been promised to by his mother. They had both enjoyed each other's company since childhood and this had played a role in their happy marriage. In their early years together they would travel together, but in the middle years of their lives was when the struggle and issues began to present themselves. These problems were Korim’s wife’s health, she had grown sickly and weak unable to sustain travel like she used too she settled down in Rynmere, Warrick to be precise.
The real problem though was that Korim worked on a ship that would take him all over the world, his voyages could take seasons at a time. The pair had no kids but still Korim stayed loyal to her and remained in Rynmere with her for 10 arcs in which time he worked as a ship builder. Although this was not his dream or his love he needed the money and there was little other choice. Kesel could see that it was not what he loved though, each day was long and made him weary. She hated to see him too become tired and drained of energy and joy, she wished she could get better but the truth was she was only getting worse. So she gave him her blessing to resume his old line of work, sailing cargo ships from port to port and earning money as he went.
This was the point when Edasha managed to become involved in this Biqaj’s story. He had been travelling too and fro between Etzos and Rynmere for some time and had decided now he had enough money to leave Kesel home alone he would do so. He planned to sail to Western Idalos and spend some time travelling between the territories over there. He was around 49 arcs old at this point and still a handsome man, not that this was why he drew the attention of the Immortal. No, Edasha was far more intrigued by his monogamy, his ability to turn down any advances from women during his visits to Hiladrith.
Visit after visit he would remain alone at night and in parties and celebrations. His ship mates would bed women at least every other night, prostitutes and normal women either way did not matter to those around him and yet the memory of his sick wife waiting for him at home kept him loyal. This drew the immortal of Adultery’s attention, curious how he managed to remain so faithful to one woman and how he resisted the multitude of woman.
She watched him each visit, coming out among the people to see his actions and if he would stay celibate. Each time he did and still each time she was unsure how. She had seen many a man lose out to desire and loneliness, in her ageless past she had taken in the failures of thousands of men to resist women. Yet, this man appeared to do so and would do so until that fateful Taj'thara "New Years" celebration where she would take action into her own hands.
Perhaps it was jealousy, one of her domains, that drove her to seduce the poor man. It is possible she wished someone would want and care for her so greatly or perhaps it was just an act she committed for the fun of it. What was important was that she did seduce the loyal man and using her unnatural beauty and adulterous ways to entice him to bed. It was not a difficult task for the immortal woman to manipulate him and force his mind to think of such acts. He fell victim to her manipulation and bedded her, just one time but that was all it took and even Edasha, the immortal of sight had not seen what happened next coming.
She was pregnant, of course it did not show immediately but she knew and she was actually afraid. She feared the child's safety if Faldrun was to discover what she had done, if he was to find out about this mortalborn child that was growing within her. So she remained in Hiladrith hidden from sight until the baby was born at which time she kept him, ever so briefly. He remained with her for several trials before the man who he was sired from once again arrived at the city. He seemed worn and guilty, much less like he had done before on his visits.
Edasha took her chance and when he was alone one night, making his way back to the boat while his crewmates were out taking advantage of the free time, she approached him. He would recognise her no doubt, the one woman who had managed to take him from his wife. In fact he had an urge to run from the woman, to avoid her stealing him again but the babe in her arms stopped him. There was next to no vocal communication between the two besides what she whispered in his ear. “This boy is special, he is more than a normal boy and you will see it as he grows that he is not like others.” These words did not reveal all but the man would eventually come to understand what it meant as the boy grew and aged until he did not.
He returned to Warrick following the discovery of his child and perhaps it was this news that finally killed poor frail Kesel. When she heard the news of his adultery and saw the child she seemed unable to truly go on any longer and so the 50 arc old Korim after arcs of marriage saw his wife die three trials later. Following this he sold his home and sailed back across to the west where he settled down in Ne’haer to raise, the now named boy, Elijah.
Since Birth:Elijah grew up in Ne’haer and was raised by his father, he never knew his mother’s identity. His father raised him on a small sloop, the same one as Elijah owns today. He learned from his father of his Biqaj heritage and how to sail and navigate the shorelines around Ne’haer. His father also taught him how to build boats and work with wood to form it into the desired shapes. However, as a kid he was always mischievous, for some reason he was drawn to situations in which he would end up with trouble, be it fights or arguments, being caught out at night with a woman or discovered by his father trying illicit substances.
Either way he was always drawn to these situations and it was one of the main reasons he ended up in the smuggling line of work. He lived with his father until he died at the age of 80, Elijah was 30 at this point but had barely aged a day since 19. At this point he needed something to spend his time doing since his father was gone, he missed him dearly and so distractions were all he wanted. He found distractions in women and drinking for the next 20 arcs, he watched the arcs fly by and he achieved little. He would spend his days working on ships and his nights getting drunk and wooing women.
Sailing was easy for him, as was navigating the coast around Ne'haer, he had traversed it with his father enough times over the years. For this reason the smugglers saw a use for him and they made the agreement that he would transport goods for them. This partnership has gone over multiple bosses and many different drugs, when you are over 100 years old you see many people come and go. During which time he has well learnt his way around Ne'haer and its surrounding coast line, particularly Bayward, home of the piratesa nd smugglers of the region. More recently Elijah has been considering starting a partnership with someone to assist him in transporting the good sand for a little extra protection. Until then he will rely on his trusty cutlass and strange ability to escape from many different situations.
It took him a long time to get over his father’s passing, during which time he met some unsavoury characters and eventually found himself down the path of smuggling. He did not realise until this time that he was not like others, the fact he was not ageing but those around him were. He reached the age of 90 and did not look a day over 25 so in the past 19 arcs he has been curious about his heritage and this will be where we join his story and see him looking into his past in search of answers to his ever long life.
