➣P E R S O N A L I T Y ▪ Anakol is a very hard worker. That’s probably the first thing you’ll learn about him. He gives his all with everything, and takes being a Hunter very seriously. It’s a fitting path, with his desire to protect spanning across the whole city and making him want to take out the beasts that could pose a threat. He's very friendly and easy to get along with as well. He’s very much of the pack mentality, and nothing makes him happier than spending time with others in his path or just others in the city. He likes to play with animals too, and there was a time in his life when he was younger that he thought about becoming a breeder rather than a hunter due to his connection with animals that he has sometimes.

➣H I S T O R Y ▪Anakol has lived many lives, the first of note being when he helped retake the city side by side with Alfwulfr. He was part of Clan Aelothari, and was one of the ones who later became Stahlmark, which spawned from that clan. He’s always thrown himself into whatever he thought would help the Lothar prosper, and defended his people at all costs. He is a Lothar who when he dies, is reborn from his body, and thus has been part of many things over the arcs since his first existence. He doesn’t remember any of them, other than faint dreams here and there. Sometimes he dreams of the violence of the battlefield as he fought to take back the city, sometimes he dreams of his death from one life or another. Most recently, however, in his last life, he had a good life as a defender. While fighting the beasts were hard, he had made friends with others in his Path and had several shield brothers. Not only that, but he found more time to mingle with the people of Uthaldria, something he liked to do whenever he could to remember just what it was he was protecting. He met many other races, and started to realize that all the boasting of his shieldbrothers about how they were the most superior might not entirely be true. While he was certain they were the most superior in combat, he knew they lacked in other ways, and other races were superior in those ways they lacked. When he brought it up with his shieldbrothers, an immense argument broke out and Anakol left to give them some time apart. His shieldbrothers, however, thought that he’d been corrupted, that someone in town had used magic or something on him to skew his mind, and that the only way to save him would be to kill him and raise him properly.
It was a very carefully planned attack, all the details gone over so that no one would suspect murder, but rather death by one of the beasts of Gauthrel. They faked a story about a beast getting too close, asking Anakol to come with them to kill it. Out in the fields, they turned on him, and killed him. It was five against one, he stood no chance, though he did fight bravely and fiercely. After he died, they made it out so that his injuries resembled those of a beast attack, and since they were also injured, their cover was complete as they dragged his body back, weaving a grand tale of a mighty battle put up between them and the beast, and had barely made it back with his body when he fell. When he was reborn, he was named Anakol and placed with his shieldbrothers to be raised, a great honor to those who had sworn themselves to one another as they did, despite the deception. Luckily for Anakol, when it came time to choose his Path, his past life spoke through his subconscious, and while he might not know of what they did, it made him feel so uneasy about being a Defender that he chose another Path, ultimately picking being a Hunter and being placed with others in his Path to be raised by them, saving him from his shieldbrothers ideology. It was several arcs later that what they had done actually came to light, in an incident involving them attempting something on Anakol, no one is certain what, but Anakol, being a small child of only 7 arcs, was terrified of them when a few Defenders came across them, running to them and saying the men had tried to harm him. They fled the city, but it led to people looking into Anakol’s death and wondering if perhaps it wasn’t as accidental as it had seemed. Anakol doesn’t know if there’s still a bounty on them or not, as much time has passed and the incident faded from his mind to a passing memory. When he grew old enough, he moved into the house that he’d always lived in, settling in as he’d always done, ever comfortable in a place so full of memory. It’s got other dwellings on top of it now, but the sound of others is like white noise to him now. Perhaps if he dug around he’d find more about his past, but for now he is content with where he is and just hopes to meet others to feel close to, whether that be as lovers, mates, or just close friends.
Anakol is rather new to the Jegers despite having been hunting almost since he could first hold a bow or an axe. He was taught how to track and hunt from a young age, and he in turn taught his Spurrsyte how to work with him to take down prey. He can't remember a time when he didn't have a spurrsyte with him, its as old as time in a way, as he's had one from the same family line since he first found one in his first life, and it will continue on until the day he stops being Reborn. Hunting is pretty much his whole life, and its probably because of this that he's felt rather lonely despite being in such a big city. He would love to find others to make a connection with, and that is part of why he joined the Jegers is to feel more connected to his brothers.
