Night's Mail

Nestled among plant life, hidden from most prying eyes, if one looks far enough into the Etzori woods they may stumble upon a cave. Of course, one must be very cautious not to stumble upon the wrong cave, it can very well be the difference between life and death. In contrast to it's sibling, this cave is shallow(in comparison) and the entrance is void of any kind of traps or determent. The half-breed that lives inside, unlike her counterpart, has never feared visitors. The Zelroux living with her and her own prowess with a blade is enough to deter most visitors with ill intent, those that aren't are quite welcomed as a challenge.

Nestled in the tree closest to the cave is a medium sized wooden box. It hangs and dances at the end of a longish rope. No matter how much the wind claws at it, just like its owner, it stays firmly planted in the sky. Upon closer inspection of the box one can find the inscription Nightshade on the front of the box. Upon inspecting the box further one may find a latch which can open the front. It becomes apparent that this is in fact a box intended for letters or packages, though it is also quiet apparent that it's suffered a great deal of disuse. Would you like to leave something inside?[

As of Ashan of 718, a little box can now be found outside of The Valkyrie's Roost in Etzos proper. It serves the same purpose, but certain people can't check it./i]

Night's Mail

Nightshade,

It has been quite a while since our first meeting, arcs in fact, so I do not know if this letter will reach you, or even if you remain in the same place or remember me at all. I know my behavior when we met must have seemed odd to you, someone like me coming across as so jumpy and scared, too shy to meet your eyes. While I do not dare to put the words to paper to properly explain, I just wanted to thank you for being so patient with me. I didn't realize it at the time, but I believe you are one of the reasons that I was able to move past...things, and put some stuff behind me so I could learn more about who I really am. I really hope that this letter reaches you, as if I receive a response, I wouldn't mind coming back to Etzos one day to see you and talk with you more properly. I've really grown as a person, and I'd love to show you that.

With hope,
Arwel Kyric
OOC Note
This letter arrives randomly in her mailbox one day in early Saun, looking a bit worse for wear from the distance from sender to recipient, but it was clearly written with a lot of heart and hope.

Re: Night's Mail

Dear Nightshade,

First, and without hesitation, I must thank you for the generous donation you made to Isonomia. Although you did not sign it, your handwriting is distinctive and it came from Etzos, so I must assume it was you. Thank you, truly. It was put to good use for the people of Scalvoris. In terms of what you wrote in that letter, I would simply urge you not to give up hope of a better future; they told me that the abolition of slavery on Scalvoris would be impossible and yet, it has happened. It is a small step, but one which I am confident will lead to greater things.

Now, on to your current letter. I do not, and can not, speak to know all the details. Usually, nor would I share them if I was not sure. But I am sure. I am also sure that there are questions as yet unanswered, and so I will attempt to give you the clearest answer I can. In Zi'da of 717, I sent this letter to both the City Guard and the "Bedside Manor" in Etzos. I can only assume by your question that this has not been publicised.

I can tell you that I saw the situation as I described it there, without hesitation. However, some time later I received a letter from Noth himself. I have written out a copy of it here for you. He claims that he did not murder Aeon, but admits to other crimes. I know what I saw.

I hope and trust that this is a sufficient reply. It is all the information I have. I have shared dreams with him, as I have with you. But of his actions in the waking world, I am in no doubt.

With best regards,

Faith Augustin.
